Blue_Jays_Canucks
That's actually an overpayment. "the monster" is not very good.
Apple Juice
They trying to make their rounds for former Leaf goalies? Scrivens didn't work out so they're trying for Gustavsson?
Tavrohorvat53
Oilers man. They never fail to disappoint in the off season. They haven't really addressed their defense or their back up goalie position. Again. When will they learn? They still lack any strong veteran presence to shoulder some of the emotional/mental part of the season and help the young guys through it. Yes they're more talented on paper but they have not learned to be accountable and probably won't until they learn it from a core group of veterans. Lucic will help so will Larsen (Lol) but not a lot. They haven't really changed much tbh. They still suck as a "team".
DownUndaCanuck
Talbot is far from a starting goalie, they'll have a tandem going which will be about as bad as all their other tandems. The Oilers desperately need a star goalie who can play 60 games and win at least 30. As for their defence, Nurse will be better, they have Klefbom as a bit of an average 2nd pairing guy, Larsson's an immediate top pairing D-man, Ference is getting older and slower and apart from that they don't have much else. Again, they need a decent top-4 veteran D-man on that team to pave the way for the kids and unfortunately it's not Ference. Up front though they'll be amazing with McDavid-Lucic and Eberle-Draisaitl as some very strong tandems.

I don't disagree, but really - who doesn't need this. Only 12 guys in the entire league started 60 gms and won 30 or more of them. These types of guys are the elite of the elite and it may shock you to learn not even Schneider accomplished that last year.

With even a half-decent d corps like ours last year he probably looks on par with Miller and Marky. 2) They're well aware of that. Ference is likely retiring/put on LTIR. That said, they haven't done enough to improve their defense/goaltending. I'm not sure of Brossoit's waiver status but there's a decent chance he can beat out Gustavsson for a spot anyway. I don't think they'd be too bothered to lose Gus to waivers.
