CHYCHRUN
https://mobile.twitter.com/news1130sports Reported on 1130 sports and also noted by his agent that the Canucks did call. Hudler will make a decision over the next couple days. Could he be the newest member of the Canucks???
oldnews
These guys are leading the scene in random turds thrown at the wall. 1130 - 'hearing the Canucks are in on every small, soft forward out there.'
canucks3322
Sign him to a one year deal and if we're not in the playoff contention then trade him for a draft pick.
Nucker 67
Why would the Canucks want Hudler? He's small, a C and 32.
Fanuck
Meh, guy is not going to do anything to improve our 'grit ' factor. Rather give our young guys more offensive opportunities and keep looking for some size/sandpaper in the top 9.

However, I don't think we should get him.
oldnews
Benning states that he's looking for some skilled GRIT/heaviness in a winger, yokels suggest every smurf on the market.

However, I don't think we should get him. yeah, he may have made sense if a guy like Brouwer were their primary signing, but not many people seem to have paid attention to what Benning has actually been saying. he's not looking for a defenseman, and he's not necessarily looking for small forwards I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to Hudler (at a short term and reasonable cap hit), but I highly doubt the likes of Gagner, Hudler, Pirri are anywhere near the top of Benning's radar. Coconuts
Maybe on a one year deal, but that's unlikely. Someone will offer him more. Could see him playing out east.

Are you serious?... literally a 0 percent chance that happens. Why would he sign a 1 year deal with us in the first place? That's a terrible contract for him. No chance that happens. No chance at all. If, and thats a big if, he signs a one year deal, it will be with a true contender. I think you might be joking. I hope you are. We need to be realistic. real life isn't a video game. You have to offer a contract that works for both sides, and that he prefers over all the others. You can't straight fleece everyone and only have things go perfectly the way you want. It's a two way street.

Hopefully, we don't get any of those you mentioned. Pirri, Gagner, Knight, etc, all the rumored players. Because 1 they are all centers, 2 they don't really fit the criteria Benning is searching for, and 3 it would create an unnecessary logjam for our own young, depth players like Granlund, Etem, Grenier, Gaunce, who are all waiver eligible (except Gaunce). We need to get some of these guys on the roster.
PlanB
There's literally nothing but leftovers out there right now. Thinking the Sbisa for Foligno talk isn't a bad option at this point.

The lesser the credibility, the dumber the proclamations, the better.
