RetroCanuck
What would a Sbisa+Hansen combo get us? Sbisa, Hansen, Columbus 2nd for Landeskog, 5th round pick? Sbisa, hansen, 3rd for RNH? Sbisa, Hansen, Gaunce, Subban for Barrie, 6th

Mathew Barzal
Sbisa is a marginal third pairing defender on most teams, combine that with his contract and it detracts from Hansen's value. One of CDC's classic means more to us than to them kind of players.

Dral
could probably get us Raymond, Ballard and a 1st in a 3 way trade which we could then flip for Crosby
Blue Jay 22
= Raymond + Ballard apparently this year.

First, lets just remove Landeskog and the 5th and replace them with Tyutin, Comeau, and a 2nd. Then we'll take out Barrie and the 6th and put in Tyutin, Comeau, Grimaldi, Gormley and maybe a mid to low round pick. Then, there is a 3rd idea (and I think this is the best one of all) you keep your players and we'll keep ours. Seriously though, Sbisa (and that contract) are just going to drag down Hansen's value. Wow he went from a first liner last year to a nobody real quick. Sbisa is also under a decent contract for a solid 3rd pairing guy. He was just forced to play to many large minute against better player due to canucks defence unit and injuries. Both are solid players and with the demand for D right now may be worth something together. I may have been over shooting but not that much if you throw in some prospects and picks. Type R
I got this.. Raymond, Ballard and a 1st!! JK.. You want to unload Sbisa, its going to cost something along the lines of Virtanen and a draft pick for a decent player.
Fateless
Some of you guys are hilarious. Sbisa is an excellent bottom pairing option on any team. The guy has developed nicely since we got him and has only been improving - the only time he gets in trouble is when he's thrust into a top four role when hes unprepared. The kid will have a solid NHL career and his 3.6 million contract is not that much of an overpayment. Hansen is worth a mid to late first rounder - especially at the deadline. Sbisa is likely worth a 2nd to 3rd rounder considering the current market for defenseman (although probably closer to a 3rd).

Solid third pairing types make around 2-2.5M. Sbisa makes 3.6M. Guys like him aren't in demand.
Mr.53
Evander Kane possibly. Not because the value is equivalent, but because Buffalo is looking to get rid of Kane and there's possibly nobody who wants to take that risk, other than us. Vancouver is really the only place that can take Kane and actually get significant value fro him, as being home, in a city he wants to be in, and around close family seems to be the only thing that can help him mature get his life together. That drives down the price a lot. They may also want a different younger player like an Etem over a Hansen but you get the point. But other than that, nothing of real significant value. But also think someone needs to come up with a name for the Columbus pick. I can't think of anything, but that pick deserves a cool nickname. So a bottom pairing D and a 3rd liner on a good team, 2nd liner on a crappy team or a 1st liner when paired with the Sedins for a top line young player? I'm not saying Sbisa and Hansen aren't valuable but they aren't going to be traded for what you are asking. Most teams are looking for quality not quantity And finally I'm not insulting Hansen and Sbisa, they are two players that I actually both like, but I mean leftovers as both players are completely disposable moving forward. We don't really need either.
SaintPatrick33
Landeskog would mean giving up Tanev +, he is a top flite elite player, I do not even know why his name is being floated out, he is also their captain eh. He is also a swede with a cool name like Gabe.
