devils999
To NJ Sbisa To Van Hagelin To Pit 3rd rd 2017 from NJ I think this would help everyone Devils need a dman and they have 2 3rd's, Pens need to shed some cap, we get a LW who can score but doesn't break the bank. Sedin/Sedin/Eriksson Hagelin/Horvat/Hansen Baertschi/Sutter/Virtanen Burrows/Granlund/Dorsett Etem
Ojibwa72
I can just see it now from the HBK to the Triple H line.
Blue Jay 22
Doesn't see the motivation for Pittsburgh. Hagelin had a good finish to the season and great playoffs. Think Van needs to add. We ain't getting Hagelin for just Sbisa.
kloubek
First, not certain Penguins would want to give him up. Especially not for Sbisa. He did real well for them last year. Second, 4m is an awful lot for a player who has typically a point every other game. Third, do we really need more 3rd line players? I know you slotted him into the 2nd line, but he's typically not a great 2nd line player....

Fanuck
Why do people insist on trying to make our forward group even softer in the toughest conference?
Dixon Ward
Don't want hagelin. Rodin might be hagelin or better. Want to give him a long look before committing 4mil to a small swede who couldn't cut it with Anaheim. Frankly, after last years lack of defensive depth and having to watch Bartkowski and Weber play meaningful minutes, I would rather have Sbisa than Hagelin anyway. cripplereh
I fully agree but would be a decent trade but we would need to give a 4th or so

So many people assume that Rodin is the "next Panarin" but with high hopes and expectations, you could just be disappointed.

I am not assuming anything. I said might be and give him a long look before trading for a potentially similar asset that costs a lot more. July and August are a time for hope and speculation by fans. I don't think it is unreasonable to hope and speculate that somebody who scored more than a point a game am won mvp of the SEL could be a good fit on a 2nd or 3rd line of the Canucks. Hagel in has averaged 36 points a year the past 3 years and is a 4mil cap hit. Rodin could certainly hit those lofty totals if things go well and uses up 1mil of the cap. Look how Pittsburgh beat the toughest team in the West. Not with soft players like Hagelin and Kessel!
