ItsMillerTime
I was think Peter Chiarelli has messed up a lot. Trading Taylor Hall and Tyler Sequin both were top 2 picks in the 2010 NHL entry list. Now I'm going to base this list off how the NHL players are doing now. 6. Spoiler Kris Versteeg (Point per game AHL player at the time) for Brandon Bochenski. Brandon plays for Barys Astana of the Kontinental Hockey League. Fun fact he traded the pick what got the Stars Jamie Benn. He didn't just trade Seguin... 5. Spoiler Joe Colborne and Rickard Rakell for Tomas Kaberle. Tomas Kaberle was a good offensive defensemen but didn't even play 30 games for the Bruins in the regular season. Rickard Rakell and Joe Colborne both hit 20 goals. Fun fact he traded the pick what got the Flames T.J. Brodie. Thanks Peter now he is a top 4 dman for the Flames. 4. Spoiler Johnny Boychuck to the Islanders for a 2nd a conditional 3rd and a 2nd rounder. Johnny Boychuck was a top 4 dman. Now you can see how much more value they have. Also bruins McQuaid and Zdeno Chara got injured right after the trades. Talk about bad luck. Fun fact he also traded future hall of famer Andrew Alberts. I was thinking of making it the 1st worst trade. 3. Spoiler Blake Wheeler and Mark Stuart for Boris Valábik and Rich Peverley. Rich Peverly was a very good player for the Bruins. But Wheeler is now a 1st liner who will most likely retire a Jet and be one of the best Jets of all time. (Also traded a great last name) Mark Stuart still plays for the Jets also. Valabik plays for the Coventry Blaze. Rich Peverley is retired. Fun fact I bet you already know who 1 and 2 are. 2. Spoiler Taylor Hall to the Devils for Adam Larson. Hall is one of the top 5 best left wingers in the NHL. The most successful pick the Oilers have had since the Gretzky era. Hall is one of a kind one of the most fastest snipers today. Adam Larson isn't though. Tons of teams have an Adam Larson or better. Fun Fact 16/30 of the players drafted in 2010 draft 1st round has been traded or signed with a different team. 1. Spoiler Tyler Seguin, forward Rich Peverley and defenseman Ryan Button to the Stars for forward Loui Eriksson and three prospects (Joseph Morrow, Reilly Smith and Matt Fraser). Tyler Seguin is arguably the best offensive centre in the NHL. Former 2nd overall pick and is the best player of the 2010 draft. Loui Eriksson is a very good hockey player but now Bruins lost him for nothing. Trade looks like now very lopsided. Here is some other awful trades he did down below here. Brett Connolly for 2 2nd round picks. Now plays for Washington. Brad Boyes for Dennis Wideman. Boyes had 43 goals in 2007-2008 after the trade. Helped blues end a 5 year playoff drought. Wideman was better as a blue and his time in Boston didn't last very long.
Angry Goose
Yep. BOS came into it's own with its drafting. Getting Kaberle ended up being a waste as well
Rocky Balboa
CDC...always trying to make themsleves feel better about not having a Cup by talking crap about other teams (Blackhawks bad asset management) or people with a ring(s).
Toews
Trading the picks that turned into Rackell, Benn or Brodie should not count as there are no guarantees that the Bruins would have drafted the same players. Trading for Kaberle in a Cup winning year is hardly the worst trade to make. The Hawks traded two 2nds for Kimmo Timonen for example. They didn't have the money to sign Boychuk so they would have lost him for nothing the following year. Getting back two 2nds is respectable. The Hawks traded Leddy in a similar situation for Ville Pokka. The Isles took advantage of two teams in dire cap straits. Finally Adam Larsson isn't a bag of pucks, he played some of the toughest minutes in the league and did it well. He is still young and could mature into a really good top pairing defenseman. Chiarelli is terrible at trading but let's not exaggerate to make it sound worse than it is. It's already quite bad to begin with.
UFCanuck
Wheeler, hall and Seguin traded for Larsson and Eriksson. Mcdavid for Raymond, Ballard and a 1st.
oldnews
Can't take the OP seriously when you get to the point of referring to a player like Larson as a "bag of pucks." The Taylor Hall tire-pumping is also hopelessly overdone.

Poking some oilers fans. Like I said before it depends on how good the players are now.

If you want a summary of what he did. read this lol. http://thehockeywriters.com/top-10-worst-mike-milbury-trades-contracts-and-transactions, On that note he is just unlucky with trading mid-late draft picks becoming studs. I.Am.Ironman
I think Larssen is going to make. Lot of people eat their words come October. He is a better asset than any OFD we have, when you take his age into account. People say they should have traded Eberle but Ebs doesn't get you AL. Apple Juice
I'd probably remove the Boychuk trade off the list. Bruins were in cap hell and needed to re-sign some key players so moving Boychuk and his 3.4m salary cap was a definite need. They needed the space to re-sign/extend Krejci, Krug, Smith, McQuaid, and Hamilton.
Guest
Chiarelli has won a Stanley Cup. I'd trade Seguin, Hall, Benn, Brodie as well as Ovechkin and Crosby - all for a conditional 7th - if it got this team a Stanley Cup.
D-Money
Was going to ask how in the hell the Dougie Hamilton trade doesn't make this list, but then realized Chia was gone. So Boston continues to carry the torch for him...
SaintPatrick33
Didn't he trade 25 goal scorer Reilly Smith to florida in the cap dump of Savards contract? That should have been up there but I guess its congested.
