Shall We Dance?

There has been chatter lately on the Canucks acquiring a top line to replace the Sedins either by draft or by trade.  If today was, lets say, July 21, 2018, what teams do you think would have a top-flight rookie centerman that they could part with and do we have the assets to trade?  I'm not proposing any trade deals here, I'm just wondering what teams have an abundant (because they've picked high for the last several years) of centers.  Or, what teams have a young 1st line centerman playing behind two already established and highly productive centermen that they could dangle for a top D....lets say Tanev for example.

Who would make good trading (dancing...the metaphor behind the title) partners for the Canucks?   Our assets seem to be leaning towards goal and D.  So, are they any teams in need of quality talent in goal and/or on D that would be willing to part with one of their over stocked centers?

Marner plays wing and Nylander can play centre or wing.

Toronto things he's going to be a center

Either way, they have a lot of players that have the ability to play down the middle. Some players will become available if canucks were interested.  Personally I would rather move edler for a pick and try to draft our own.

Not sure what you are suggesting? We have decent goal tending and are just starting to build a defense. We are not deep enough to be be moving a defenseman or a goal tender. We are just starting to build depth and are not deep enough to make any deals.......

The Gudbranson trade used up any depth that we had. We all need to realize that we are years away.
