Workout equipment

I'd spend a little bit more money to buy really sturdy equipment if I were you. If you blow out your shoulder because you spent $100 less on a less sturdy bench, you're really going to regret it.

That being said, definitely try craigslist.

I don't think there are cheap barbells/dumbbells. Aren't they about a dollar per pound? If you're going for a wide range of weights then It's really only an investment that pays off after many many years so you have to be really committed to lifting considering most gyms are a dollar a day.

I bought my power rack/Oly Bar/Bumpers from Fitness Depot. They have a couple of shops in the lower mainland and usually have good prices.

Craigslist. Lost of equipment goes for sale in Jan/Feb. people buy Bowflex thinking they will actually stick to their resolutions. Lol. Then sell their old gear.

Or just lift cars, rocks or squat with a fat chick on your shoulders.

I find fat chicks too doughy and the weight distribution is terrible.

Don't wanna put your back out or anything lol.
