You seem awfully sure Kryten was a Vanilla TP. We didn't get a result for what role Virt had in the nightfall why do you assume Kryten was Vanilla?

I get why you think that's a TMI slip, but why would the mafia kill Kryten over a special if they knew he was regular TP?

They're insanely scummy posts to the point where I assume JL would think before doing that as scum? Is that not the definition of TWTBW?

It is, but I was just wondering how you found them so insanely scummy. They looked fairly normal to me, maybe a bit on the scummy side.

I feel like tinfoil-y posts like "the mafia are out to get me! that's why [players] are voting for me! vote player" are almost always made by scum.

I highly doubt he's mafia so that's why I don't want to lynch. 3P seems like less of a threat especially because we've identified him and he can't kill.

I'm thinking JL, but I'm open to suggestions.

I just looked at the player list.

I don't think anyone is mafia.

That's a first.

I don't know about JL actually. I get mixed vibes from his posts.

They're all there if anyone wants to read them

These posts from yesterday are my basis.

I don't think I have them quoted in the correct order but you seemed, at best, 50/50 on JL and now he's mafia to you.

Regime's Ruminations

Hear ye, hear ye...

MK

-Kryten as an MK is an odd choice - while Falcon's suggestion of a veteran-led team having a "read" on Kryten made some degree sense, the Regime believes the opposite is more likely to be true.  Like Aladeen said - it would probably take an investigation to motivate a first round kill.  Further, with active MR, Toews and (albeit inactive) BW on the board it's an all-around odd choice.

Result: Inconclusive.

Voting Results

The regime acknowledges Toews' assertion that the lack of activity at nightfall is because the Mafia were satisfied with the R1 lynch.  Indeed, the mafia would gain more from lynching a 3P special in Virt than your humble Vanilla TP Duce.

Virt- BW, JL, 112, BJ, KH, Dral

Of the Virt lynch, which has the benefit of being a "pro-TP" lynch as well, JL and BJ would be highest on the Regime's suspicion list.  BJ has been discussed in the thread and JL was illuminated by this post:

No. The 'get a reaction' excuse may work for 112, but there's no way a TP looks at her Sheriff claim, thinks 'totes fake, but I'm going to pretend to go with it without any explanation!', and votes for Aladeen just to 'get a reaction'. Townspeople are far more suspicious of fake claims than Mafia are. If that was seriously your thought process, then it even goes as far as to imply you knew 112's affiliation if you were that trustworthy of a random roleclaim from a slanking player.

If you had said 'I was really busy and wasn't paying attention' I would be more inclined to believe you were TP. But your explanation here says you knew exactly what you were doing.

The regime also voted for Aladeen but honestly believed in his guilt.  The post MR is referring to seems like someone trying to come up with a better reason to justify their vote.

On MH

The regime almost blocked MH in order to cut through his spam in the first round.  While an MH lynch is not appropriate, perhaps a Vig kill would be as even if TP (of which it is not certain) spam is very much anti-town.

Tin-Foil moment:

AV is a player the Regime often mis-reads when TP.  This game, he has flown completely under the Regime's radar.  Definitely giving off a different vibe.

Switch the 2nd and 3rd post. JL was my top scum read but I wasn't confident, and my confidence in the read only decreased over time. But there was never any other person who I found more suspicious (until falcon recently), so today I came back to JL after MR made some points against him.

Edit - I don't find falcon more suspicious now, I meant to say that no one rivalled JL in terms of scumminess until falcon recently

The regime would suggest one of:

Jay Jay - posts have been very Jay Jay-esqe, but is he not usually more active?  Scum reads very similar to the regime but non-committal.  According to Zfetch, he tracked all the activity did not vote himself?

g_bassi - slankmaster bassi is ever-dangerous as mafia.

GFY - see g_bassi, only... more.

for a potential Vig kill, barring additional input.

Ugh. Are we about to get more roleclaims? I'm just going to go to bed.

Zfetch's statement "This is not a vanilla game" is wreaking havoc on our ability to scumhunt.

I have a suspicion there are a lot of roles in this game.

I still have an investigation and need to use it before the end of the round.
