Christina Grimmie won! But she was never mentioned in the whole entire event. Just the website.

If I knew her, was a family member or a big fan I would feel really bad. I don't see the bad in having a couple minute time to give the parents the award and a small tribute video or something. 

 

if her family said they didn't want to go to the awards or something like that then I am ok with it.

 

My feelings would be whatever the family would be feeling at this point in time.

From what I've seen on Twitter, apparently Teen Choice used her for promo, tweeting about honouring her on the show, but they only used her to get viewers. That's pretty pathetic by Fox.

Nickelodeon has been using YouTubers for their viewers for years now.  There were a decent amount of articles written about that award show 2 or 3 years back.  Those awards are about as real as a 90's porn star's breasts. 

 

People screw over other people for money all of the time.

Basically. If her parents didn't want to go, then what can Teen Choice Awards do? Parents probably backed out last minute despite them promoting they'll honour Christina Grimmie.

What does a persons parents have to do with being mentioned at an awards show?

 

The awards show producers can basically do what they want because they market to young teens and no matter how much these same teens p*ss and moan now, they'll be clicking their mouse like crazy again next year and watching all over again. 

 

The producers flat out admitted 2-3 years ago that they are the ones who choose the winners not the children who watch and vote on the show.
