To Winnipeg: Bo Horvat (+/-)

To Vancouver: Mark Schiefele (+/-)

Pull the trigger or no?

Are you a Canuck's fan?  Neither team would even consider this.

Oh helllllll nooooo! Schiefele is good but Bo is the future captain of this team and the better all around player IMO. He is our future Trevor Linden and we need leaders like that on this team.

I'd consider it from VANs perspective only. Wpg likely wants more then just BoHo (not knocking Bo but Schiefele is dynamite)

Mark is easily one of few young players in the league it consider trading my favourite young Canuck for (Bo)

Mark is like one of those cheap Ibanez guitars.  Bo is a Gibson. :)  Van says NO WAY HOSE B.

Yes, without any hesitation. Scheifele is already a young #1C, signed to a long term contract for reasonable money. I love Bo but there are no guarantees he becomes as good as Scheifele.

Scheifele is the more developed player, but he's a right shot.  How many Cup winners in the last 20 years had right shot number one centres - one?  That's not good odds, is it?  I'll stick with Bo, and allow him time to develop into our number one.

We need leaders who will get us to a game 7 heartbreaking loss, always.

What would be the point of this for either team?

Same question for me, mostly from the Jets' perspective.

Winnipeg already has the more developed player.  From what I've heard Mark's pretty much an all-rounder, isn't he?  While Bo might be an excellent complementary fit for Little as the #2 I'm not sure they downgrade (in the present anyways) by making this trade.

Vancouver would pretty much be down to get Mark.  An offensive #1 center like him won't be easy to get.

Winnipeg's perspective only.

They hang up the phone. Scheifele was just signed long term and was the second highest scorer in the NHL last season from February 23rd till the end of the season, when Little went down with an injury.

This isn't taking anything away from Horvat's skillset. But Scheifele is their number one center now. No reason they would trade him.

Linden was playing that series with broken ribs and still played through the pain and gave it his all. That's leadership.

"You don't know this, but Trevor Linden had cracked ribs and torn rib cartilage for the last four games of the 1994 Stanley Cup Final," Cliff Ronning said. "You can't imagine what it's like to hear your captain, in a room down the hall, screaming at the top of his lungs as they injected the needle into his rib cage. Knowing him, he probably thought we couldn't hear. He would then walk into our dressing room like nothing had happened. That was inspirational."

A bit early for that assumption. I remember when Montreal fans said the same thing about Higgins.

I already posted: how many teams in the last 20 years win the Cup with a right shot number one centre?  One!  they can keep him.

You're right. And who cares about the right hand centres previous to that, right?

By the way, that is a seriously flawed argument. So much so that it's not even an argument.

What percentage of 1st line centers are right shot?
