StraightFlush
Not quite a big gritty forward. No thanks

Cramarossa
I thought was was supposed to sign in a matter of hours/days….about a month ago? I'll believe it when I see it. If it's the Canucks that sign him I won't believe it though. Not our best choice.
Squeak
In fairness, they've been tweeting that every week since July 8th

Sedinery33
If Hudler can put up 50+ points on our second line at a reasonable cost I think he's worth it. Yeah he's not "gritty" but I don't care at this point. Our team couldn't put the puck in the net last year, so if Hudler could help create offence then I'm all for it. This mind set of big and gritty is great, but sometimes the small skilled guys are more elusive and the big guys have a problem keeping up with them
khay
Not the ideal option but better than signing no one I guess.
Tre Mac
Are we the Florida Flames or the Calgary Panthers?

We need more secondary scoring no matter what, and at this point if someone can provide that without being "gritty" then I don't really give a sh**. Sign them up! -Vintage Canuck-
[Rumour] Jiri Hudler to sign sometime before the start of training camp.

We could have a team of gritty players, but then whos gonna score. There just isn't enough Jamie Benn type players to go around.
Deeezus
I may be in the minority, but if we had to sign a non-gritty offensive forward, I wish we would've signed Gagner at 650k instead. I was hoping he would sign here.
Nucker 67
Much rather see Hudler in the mix, than: "Vrbata close to re-signing with the Canucks" I agree that big gritty forwards is better, but Hudler provides some tenacity and he's a playmaker, he can put up points. He was basically a point-a-game player in 2014/15, so maybe he'll be somewhat productive on our 2nd line? Or will he play with Horvat on the 3rd? He's listed as C, but I'm assuming he'll play LW? smithers joe
whoever they get, i'll root for them...gritty or not...if their canucks, then there's no doubt about it.

Hookman
Wouldn't mind seeing Hudler on a one year deal. Could be traded for an asset come deadline time if the Canucks are not in a playoff spot and hes putting up decent numbers
Rocky Balboa
Short term - cap friendly, sure. But it better not be some 5x4 deal or something.
