Piggy Bank
To TBL: Alexander Edler and 2017 First Round Pick +/- To Van: Nikita Kucherov and 2017 3rd Round Pick +/- Thoughts? Our options on wing for years to come would be top of the league. Our first round pick is unlikely to become equally is good as Kucherov. Deal serves both teams in terms of Cap Space and Needs. Sedin Sedin Hansen Kucherov Horvat Eriksson Baertschi Sutter Virtanen Burrows Granlund Etem Dors Gudbranson Hutton Tanev Tryamkin Sbisa Larson Miller Marky I'd like to imagine this Kucherov 1C Boeser Baertschi Horvat Virtanen

Alflives
Don't want Kucherov. If we trade Edler it should be for Landeskog.

Kucherov is like the best playoff performer in the NHL. If I were the Lightning i wouldn't accept but if I were the Canucks I would definitely do it. Kucherov was tied for 21st in points Landeskog was 75th on the list. I get leader is good but if you can get the same trade as you can for Kucherov you gotta go for the better player. Kucherov will probably be a point per game player soon.

All I'm left with is Landeskog has more letters in his name. Okay, you win, and we save money on name tags! .
Nucker 67
Does TB want another underperforming veteran D from the Canucks? (Ohlund, Salo, Garrison, etc)

Garrison was just on the radio here. There is something off about that guy. Send the Edler!

Van, at this point, has about as good a mix of vets vs. young players, I would be very reluctant to trade a guy like Edler. I would not want to touch our Defence right now, if I did it would be someone like Sbisa who is a 6/7 guy, Edler is a 1/2. The return for Edler would have to be better than Kuch, I wouldn't care about the pick.

(Ohlund, Salo, Garrison, etc) To be fair, Ohlund actually did well until he was permanently injured. Salo was 39 when he was signed, and Garrison cashed in on one good season. He was always a bottom pairing D at best. Edler isn't old, nor is he underperforming on his contract. He actually has value. It showed last season when he got injured. When he went down, the D went with him.

BowtieCanuck
Elite first lines that are successful are almost always built, not bought. Something tells me that the next elite first liners for the Canucks aren't playing junior hockey yet.
