aeromotacanucks
https://www.yahoo.com/sports/news/starring-now-in-brazils-theater-of-the-absurd-ryan-lochtes-one-act-play-of-stupidity-034033651.html everybody knows this story but I´m gonna show my point as a native and ANGRY speaker about this whole mess... WE KNOW OUR ROBBERS if somebody robbs you in Brazil the very 1st thing they take from you is the cellphone, not the money, not your documents, but your cellphone is gone. how these 4 were robbed but happened a miracle and they were the only 4 on earth that had their cellphones spared? the videos show the hole stuff, Brazil is a country filled with Cameras, sensors, if you walk here somebody is filming you... OUR LAWS CAN BE VERY TOUGHT SOMETIMES lie to a police officer about a false crime, urinating on streets, drive drunk and many other things will put you in trouble JUST BECAUSE YOU´RE FROM OTHER COUNTRY AND JUST BECAUSE WE ALREADY HAVE PROBLEMS DOESN´T MEAN YOU CAN TRASH HERE if Brazilians go to your country and make mess and trash your country you will get upset right? it´s the same here. we do not tolerate people from other countries smashing things here. we´re a pacific friendly people, but we can also become VERY ANGRY sometimes and Ryan Lochte's act actually sparked a huge anger between Brazilians... BOMB, DRONE STRIKE and NUKE BRAZIL? all over the internet the amout of racists Americans that don´t understant "My Home my Rules" think that every country on earth belongs to USA and so US citizens can do wathever they want anywhere. but this is not the case... 99% of the American citizens are saying "Ryan Lochte and his friends should be punish as an example" but the 1% says things like "Bomb Brazil", "let´s nuke Brazil to the stone age", "drone strike every Brazilian" interesting considering the fact that Brazil doesn´t have enemies, didn´t start any war and never invaded a single country I´m pretty sure that if USA does that EVERY COUNTRY ON EARTH will be against USA... THE RUSSIAN REACTION but it´s not over. after these racists said things like "nuke Brazil" the reaction came from a side we were actually waiting for... many Russians said publicaly "you bomb Brazil we bomb your country" and "easy to attack a country without defenses hein? why don´t you America try attack Russia and see what happens?" many Brazilians angry with the behaviour of the american racists decided to actually do the same telling "nuke Brazil, the world nuke USA" AND THE CHINESE REACTION but also the Chineses reacted. basically on the same whay as the Russians, but more into an economic war... they said that USA needs to pay trillions in debt to China and remembered that 85% of all USA goods are produced abroad and if USA wans a war for real they will have one WHY RUSSIA and CHINA REACTED THIS WAY? 1) 80% of the food consumed in Russia and China come from Brazil and other countries in South America. they need our food... 2) Russians and Chineses are investing heavily in Brazil. they are buying our companies and investing here since Brazil has a lot to expand... 3) Russians and Chineses are increasing the tourism here. since they don´t need VISAS here they can stay up to 60 days without any demand. they come, they spend a lot and they actually don´t care about the mess in Brazil since their countries are as much messed as Brazil USOC ALREADY SAID "SORRY" TO BRAZIL. NOW WE WANT THE 4 DOING THE SAME it´s the fair thing to be done. they did the mess, they need to apologise and pay the consequences! they will lose sponsors? will lose endorsments? will lose reputation? good! they lied to make a country look bad to clear their images of drunk americans trashing other countries. face the consequences! BRAZILIANS ARE ANGRY WITH THIS HOLE MESS? yes. angry like "f#¨$%¨you muricans! nuke us and the world nuke USA" I´m pretty sure that it´s very angry to me... YEGCanuck
All I can say about Lochte is, if you look like a loser, sound like a loser and act like a loser, 9 times out of ten, you are a loser!

But this is the problem, when people insult or call for war with another country over a swimmer...That is making a mountain out of a molehill. While not most americans, there are the few who walk around treating others like crap in thier own countries just because of the passport they carry. Again not most but a but very visible few who makes America look bad. What Lockte did was beyond low on this. An Olympic swimmer lying to make the host country look bad. Never have I seen anything like this throughout all my years of watching the Olympics, winter or summer. Shameful.

-DLC-
The thing is, you get idiots all over the world...and to pin that they are Americans or "[insert nationality here]" is stereotyping. Ryan Lochte doesn't represent anyone but himself unless it's during competition. To react to it on the internet with "bomb" this/that? Those statements are thrown out by idiots and NOT to be taken seriously. Because, if you give them the attention they seek, they win. Trolls, they're everywhere. Taking the high road keeps the spotlight on the idiots who are in trouble for lying. Making a big deal outside of that deflects from them. I am a very patriotic, proud Canadian. With that, if someone says something bad about my country, it rolls off me because I know the good things. All countries have good and bad so it's a matter of not owning what someone else says. -DLC-
Home Ryan Lochte Says Sorry Ryan Lochte I'm Sorry 415 8/19/2016 7:12 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF Breaking News Ryan Lochte is finally doing a mea culpa for the lie he told on NBC that's become an international incident ... but he kind of doubled down on the version of events he told cops. Lochte just posted ... "I want to apologize for my behavior last weekend -- for not being more careful and candid in how I described the events of that early morning and for my role in taking the focus away from the many athletes fulfilling their dreams of participating in the Olympics. I waited to share these thoughts until it was confirmed that the legal situation was addressed and it was clear that my teammates would be arriving home safely." Lochte continues ... "It's traumatic to be out late with your friends in a foreign country - with a language barrier - and have a stranger point a gun at you and demand money to let you leave, but regardless of the behavior of anyone else that night, I should have been much more responsible in how I handled myself and for that I am sorry to my teammates, my fans, my fellow competitors, my sponsors, and the hosts of this great event." He goes on to say he's proud to rep the USA in Olympic competition and this was a situation that could and should have been avoided. He adds, "I accept responsibility for my role in this happening and have learned some valuable lessons. I am grateful for my USA Swimming teammates and the USOC, and appreciate all of the efforts of the IOC, the Rio '16 Host Committee, and the people of Brazil who welcomed us to Rio and worked so hard to make sure that these Olympic Games provided a lifetime of great new memories." "There has already been too much said and too many valuable resources dedicated to what happened last weekend, so I hope we spend our time celebrating the great stories and performances of these Games and look ahead to celebrating future successes." The statement is clearly crafted to thwart police efforts to have Lochte prosecuted. The biggest problem the swimmer faces ... going on TV, trashing the city by claiming armed men posed as cops robbed him as he was innocently taking a cab back to the Village. -DLC-
Quote Rather than an armed robbery at the hands of assailants who pulled over their taxi and identified themselves as police, as Lochte originally claimed, the incident appears to have stemmed from a drunken pit stop at a gas station bathroom in the West Rio neighborhood of Barra de Tijuca, near the Athletes’ Village, at around 6 a.m. Sunday. Surveillance footage from the gas station appears to show at least one of the swimmers — who completed their Olympic competition Saturday — pull off the metal door to the bathroom. In the video, released by Brazilian police, gas station employees observe the athletes, then escort them out of the bathroom. In another clip, from a different camera angle, the athletes quickly seat themselves on the ground and raise their hands, as if ordered by a person with a gun. Veloso confirmed that one of the security guards produced the weapon to “contain” the swimmers so they could not leave without paying for the damage. “The firearm was used in a situation in which they were contained. When they were contained, the firearm was put away,” he said. Riera, the attorney who represented Bentz and Conger, said the four swimmers arrived at the gas station seeking to use a restroom, but upon finding there wasn’t one available, two of the men urinated at the back of the station and Lochte punched an advertisement in a metal frame, which fell noisily to the ground and attracted the attention of staff. But the thing is, don't fuel this beast or you become part of the problem, not the solution (which is to focus on all the positive things that are taking place right now). It's ok to be upset but don't take it personally. It was nothing more than idiotic and drunken behavior. Moronic. It reflects on them, not you. The 99% of the people at the Olympics will come back sharing stories of how glorious it was...how beautiful and well done. So don't take the focus away from that and allow the negative aspect to cloud it. The faster people move on, the faster they can resume the joy and celebration of it all. By letting this die out, it takes the focus off all the negative things that they tried to portray. Don't buy in to it.
Ghostsof1915
What I find insulting is that the excuse "oh he's a kid..." Uhh...he's 32 and adult. He breaks curfew, and he and his buddies go out partying. Fine minor thing. But to lie and let things spin out of control. Just another example of the "It's someone else's fault" society.
