SabreFan1
Just ran across this one. Physicists need to figure this one out and miniaturize them, up the amps and lower the voltage so they can put them in cell phones. Probably not possible with just the copper and aluminum, but maybe an alloy could be created... Still very cool though.

If you don't need a lot of energy, it's not overly difficult to build a long lasting power source. Like sand in an hourglass. Your smart phone has probably used up more energy in the last hour than that bell has in its entire life.
taxi
Probably nothing special about the battery. It's a big battery that moves a small object, so it's going to last a long time.

The article I got the video from is only a day old so unless she is very wrong, they haven't entirely figured this specific battery it out yet. I also acknowledged in my post that the Watts need to be upped. http://twistedsifter.com/videos/longest-running-battery-ever/

All the science is known. It's like baking some cookies. I've got a secret recipe, that you don't exactly know, but hey it's cookies right? How hard can it be? So you bake your own cookies that taste similar to mine, but it's not exactly the same...you don't precisely know how my cookies are made, but your cookies are also tasty, so...I think I'm hungry. I'll take your word for it. I have very little knowledge when it comes to this type of battery. I do know a bit about the "Baghdad batteries" though.
