EDM ranked ahead of us is laughable.

Well considering Edmonton itself is a farm team, you can argue it is actually better than Utica.

But seriously I question the thoroughness of the ranking because, when you look at the comments it mention Tampa Bay's Vasilevsky being in their farm system, but he actually been an NHL backup for 2 years now I believe.  So where is the line between NHLer and prospect?   Like where would we classify Virtanen, Horvat, Hutton and McCann if he was still here??

Why?  Does McDavid not count on their prospect list?

Being a legit NHL player, I would hope not. Nor more than I would list Horvat in ours. Virtanen maybe, as it's possible he'll spend time in Utica this season.

They basically have no prospect pool. They have a bunch of high picks who they have playing in the NHL, what, one good D? And Pool Party.

And that's ranked 8th :picard:

I personally draw the line at a player you could make an agrument might spend time in the minors. Horvat wouldn't count, Virtanen would.

You could maybe argue Drouin on Tampa for example (though after last year, he may very well be up).

EDM has a shallow puddle for an actual prospect pool.

I think a more interesting and clear list would be best stable of players under 22/23.  There is too much debate about when a prospect becomes a player.

Horvat

Baertschi

Granlund

Gaunce

Virtanen

Boeser

Demko

Garteig

Juolevi

Hutton

Stecher

Tryamkin

Subban

Brisebois

After years with a pretty weak list, this is looking pretty good.  I am probably missing somebody.

I don't really care where the media ranks this, I am pretty happy with it.
