Summer Summit?

Just wondering if its pushed back or does it not always happen every year? I love the grilling the Coaches and management take at those, some of the fans ask real, burning questions for me, and I love how the brass always respond. Anyone know when they are having it? TY

I hope they don't have it.  Just follow the team and watch the games.  I don't need to see donkeys like Tanbir ask stupid questions while basically crying.

"Why does beer cost so much?"

"when is Johnny Canuck going to be on a jersey"

"can you have more non alcohol sections, can you have more party sections"

you can tell Benning and Linden are there begrudgingly.

Yeah some of the questions were like that, but that's hardly what I meant by burning questions. Some of the questions had some emotion behind them, and some believe it or not had real thought behind them as well. We got to hear a bit from the rookies too which was nice. Id love to see Eriksson there.

I know you're kidding but what that article is based on is made up.  There is little to no reality in there.

Meh, I thought it was good commentary on the chicken littles of the world.

It's basis is relevant and read like good comedy.

Unfortunately even though it was somewhat satirical the author is a Vancouverite and did salt it with a lot of truth. I know the city well enough (ie spent more than enough time there) to begrudingly admit he was right on many things Vancouver specific - such as buying a house for the average family, well,.. requires an entire average extended family to purchase one (hence the god-awful large stucco monstrosities with postage stamp yards that crowd Surrey).  The above average family's that are lucky to afford a place have enough money that its safe to say there is a certain amount of spoiling going on which leads to this - The legions of fairweather fans that sprouted like Kale all over the City during the wonder years,  and jump off the band wagon even quicker once the losing starts (although think "soccer" was a poor choice for replacement sport, more like drinking a poofed up coffee outside a Starbucks or other botique like coffee shop, while wearing designer shades and safely staring at each other and walkers by with absolutely zero interaction, if you haven't been there than when you go you will notice that it is the entire city's off-season sport of choice too, which I admit I spent a fair amount of time doing -it's kind of fun)...As far as city's go, you could do way worse than Vancouver, and watching games their live is a must.  Not to mention the Mt's, ocean, transit system - well ok I have said enough to hopefully not to offend anyone who lives their now.

The Canucks are B.C.'s only team, and a LOT of their die hard fans come from, or live in other places than Vancouver.  This article seemed to be a big poke at Vancouver fans, and anyone who has spent enough time there has to admit there was some truth in it - and that it wasn't based in an alternate universe.

Ya, it's probably better to look at it with tongue planted firmly in cheek.  I guess my fear is that such an "article" would spawn another round of debate (which has been done to death).

I promise to lighten up.  Crabs gotta be crabby.  B)

True that, if you didn't I'd demand you change your name!

I guess luckylager's gotta get people loaded so they laugh, or fight, or both, then laugh again!
