-Vintage Canuck-
Quote The Minnesota Wild have signed winger Ryan Carter to a professional tryout offer, reports Michael Russo of the Star Tribune. An unrestricted free agent, Carter will come to training camp hoping to secure a contract with the club. The 33-year-old has spent the past two seasons with Minnesota, scoring seven goals with five assists through 60 games last season. Drafted by the Anaheim Ducks in 2006, the well-traveled Carter has 473 career games on his NHL resume, with stops in Minnesota, Anaheim, New Jersey, Florida, and Carolina. http://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/1091525
Apple Juice
Sucks to hear that he spent the last two seasons with the team and is only given a PTO. Probably pushed out cuz of depth issues
Where's Wellwood
I read the title as 'Anson Carter' at first.

Probably pushed out cuz of depth issues I would normally say sign the guy or let him go, but if he doesn't have a contract with anyone else yet the Wild could be helping him out by showcasing him to other teams with a PTO. Most teams should already know what they're getting, but if it helps, I can see the worth.
