Karlsson needs to kick his loyalty for Ottawa to the curb and join us in making Team Sweden-lite great again. Way too many other nations on our team for my liking.

We oughtta trade away them lazy Canadians. I never trusted their work ethic.

Karlsson with the other A. Pretty fine looking group, if I do say so myself.

Given the Sedins' age (and leadership status) what kind of effort can we expect from them? Does this confirm they're playing top line?

I'm going second line. Initial lines indicated third line, but with Zetterberg out I think they will get top 6 mins

I wonder why Henrik is picked over Daniel as the captain. Is he more vocal in the locker room or something? I mean I doubt Danny cares very much, but still...

I was actually thinking the same thing, 'tradition and habit' maybe? Since Hank is our captain it's just an assumption / bias?

Would have been interesting to see the reverse!

tbh they both have the same job in the lockerroom whether they put the C or A or not.

I get the impression Danny's even more lowkey than Henrik is (if that's even possible), and it seems like his style of leadership relies heavily on leading by example as opposed to being vocal on the locker room. I'm not saying a captain can't lead by example, but there comes a point where he's got to speak up to really his team. We saw a lot more of that from Danny last season.

The Sedins often seem to come out of the gates all gang-busters for the first 20 or so games of the regular season. My guess is that they light it up for the World Cup. Their conditioning is always top-notch. It's the wear-and-tear of the NHL regular season with all of the uncalled nonsense against the Sedins that  brings them down to earth at about the 30 game mark.
