billabong
At 1 year/1 million id take a flyer on Versteeg to add depth on the LW side since he can play both sides

Nuckles80
Pass. Let Toronto take him. He's a 30 pt right winger (natural) who's 5'11 180lbs Any one of our young players can do as much or more with that ice time and we have Rodin as well. I saw the Province article - stupid idea that ignores our depth relative to his production, size and potential contribution

Someone will sign him. He can still contribute just we don't need him. I could see Toronto, Islanders, Columbus all having some interest, amongst others. He's a good depth player for a playoff team as well, we just need to start working in our youth - and he isn't light years ahead of anything our youth can bring which is the point

Apple Juice
I'd want him on our team considering he chips in offensively and provides good depth for the bottom six offensively.. But I'd much rather let our young guys earn a spot and see what they can do. At some point, we gotta let our young guys play and be a part of our team. Jaku
AHL bound? He was available for a quite some time and didn't sign. Why would a return trip change that?

Odd.
Isn't he good at killing penalties and producing Chris Higgins type numbers? He's someone I'd want but we don't have room for him. Pass.

A 1 year deal for $1 million or less would assure he's not traded by Chicago a third time.
Lancaster
1 hour ago, b3. said: I had a hard time believing Europe was his only option. Could be just simply that he's "tired" of the NHL. He has already won 2 Stanley Cup and has earned close to $30 million (pre-tax). Spending a couple of years overseas in the Swiss league.... where it's relatively less physical and probably more suited to his type of game, while still getting decent pay. Then potentially make a come back to the NHL down the line..... doesn't sound like a bad idea.
