7 points 2 games is this what we are gonna see this year.

I'd like to see them put together some more scoring chances at 5v5 to feel a bit better about the line heading into the season. PP for sure though. No doubt there.

Playing together at 5v5 probably does help the power play though. Getting 19 mins together a game versus 4-5 can make a big difference.

Either way stoked to see that line be our top line for the next couple years and then hopefully an elite second line after that

Given the circumstances it really couldn't be going any better. Yeah, there's this and that but, what the heck do people expect.

Waiting around to win a cup to be excited.

You want real, if anyone isn't happy about the result so far because they are cynical or reluctant to enjoy small success... Baton down the hatches because if you want glory on a platter it's not coming.

my bad wrong section i take it...

No his point was that this isn't thread worthy. There is LITERALLY a thread dedicated to talking about how Canucks players do at the World Cup. This post has no value added to it by being in it's own thread. Also, this post is a perfect fit for the already existing thread, so.... I believe I'm correct in saying that forum rules do require you to check for existing threads before posting your own...

Can someone tell me if there is a notification anywhere on the new thread screen that asks you to check for a new thread? Here's a great idea, why don't we force people to tick a checkbox saying they've looked for existing threads before they can post their thread... That way when they make threads like this consistently they have no right to complain when they get suspended from posting new threads for a year.

Confirmed Elvis dupe.

I'll wait until they're playing in games that actually matter rather than glorified exhibition games.

The games have been as / if not more competitive than regular season games. I take it you haven't watched any. The Canada / US game for instance (game 1) was pretty much as intense as most playoff games and it was 'exhibition' of the so called 'glorified exhibition games'.

Sweden / Finland game 1 was not an easy game either.

oh well I guess you should go play with your pokemons vs getting all ragey here over an internet post not being in the ''proper' thread. If such a post/ issue upsets you that much that you must comment on it, you might want to consider what potential personal issues would make this so important to you?

Won't be watching any as I don't want to support this abomination of a tournament.

Well you missed a hell of a hockey game Canada vs USA....I can't say I am not bothered by it not being a 'pure' country tournament but those games  I mentioned have been good and full of intensity and some nastiness as well.

The 'idea' of the u23 team sounds a bit cheesy but they will be more competitive than any of the countries they replaced making for better hockey.

Suggest you watch a few 'real country' games and you'll see for yourself.

Ads on jerseys + the ridiculous format = not going to watch and pretend this garbage is acceptable.  We have to collectively put our foots down before Bettman completely destroys the game.  What's next, watching the Little Caesar's Red Wings take on the Molson Canadiens?

I'll be damned if I bring legitimacy to the continued desecration of the sport.

well sadly you not watching will have no impact- and not enough people are going to boycott to make a difference

As for ads on jerseys, I certainly didn't notice them in the Canada US games (are you positive they are doing it?)

You're missing excellent hockey, just sayin ...Watching Toews, Crosby, Stamkos, Tavares, Burns, Doughty on the same team is pretty damn special friend

They're on the shoulder.

Difference or not, I don't consider this a legitimate tournament so why should I bother watching?  I don't give a rats arse who wins.

I noticed small SAP patches on the right shoulders of the players during the Finland vs Sweden games, but that's it. It was way less intrusive than I anticipated, thankfully.

Less intrusive does not automatically mean acceptable.  There is no reason fans should tolerate ANY ads on jerseys.
