(Proposal) Two Trades, Two Drafts, Three Years

Recommended Posts

Here is the idea,

Trade Tanev to Colorado for Landeskog, add a pick, prospect or player if necessary

Trade the Sedins, retaining half salary, to hopefully the Panthers for Barkov, adding in Columbus`s 2nd and a Canuck 2nd pick.

Hopefully around the trade deadline especially if the team is not likely to make the playoffs.

Resign the Sedins in 2018 until they retire.

That would take care of finding replacements for the top two lines, most likely get one more top 5 draft pick, have the Sedins as mentors for a very good young group, accelerate or eliminate the need for a blow up and sell tickets.

Those two names have been rattled around as possibly being moved so the idea is not that far fetched.

in two years the lines could be;

Boser Landeskog Eriksson

Sutter Barkov Virtanen

Hansen Horvat Baertschi

Etem Grandlund,Cassels Guance

Edler Oj

Hutton Gubranson

Tryamkin Subban

Sbisa Pedan

Biega Briesbois

Markstrom

Demko

plus maybe a high round draft pick

For year three, hard to say but possibly, not in any order;

Eriksson Sedins

Barkov Landeskog Boser

Sutter Horvat Virtanen

Guance Cassels Hansen, Rodin

Hansen may be traded before his contract ends, again a deadline deal and there could be another top 3 pick to look at.

Whatever but with a strong push THIS YEAR the Canucks would be younger and pushing for a playoff spot, if not more. By then LA, Anaheim and San Jose will also be re-tooling.

As far as the Sedins being moved to get an extra chance at a cup, Florida is a better chance for a couple of years, they will need the money for re-signing all the kids the third year, with the older players they have they will want to make a big push now since they are so close. It wouldn`t hurt the Sedins at all, I think back to the Sundin flare up, the Sedins witnessed that media and fan assassination.

For Colorado, they get the dman they need at a very reasonable cap/salary hit and still have a dynamic defense man in Barrie as well as their plethora of young forwards,

Depending on how the coaching goes, if necessary hire a cup winning coach or the best out there, Quenville if he is available, Crawford might not be a bad idea.

You think the sedins would get barkov in return?  HAHA that is insane. Panthers are not trading barkov. Just as oilers are not trading McDavid.

There others on that team as well, I named Barkov for the very reason you stated. If the deal was ¨pushed¨ just add another piece or trade for a bad contract, say Jokinen`s 4 mil but the Nucks would have to create so cap space then, maybe buyout Burrows.

The easiest would be to add another draft pick. Sedins, two 2nds and two 5ths?

This is not speculation.

I guess your post in the Florida - Vancouver trade thread wasn't getting enough attention? Wonder why nobody here takes anything you post seriously or that you're a troll when you propose to trade two 36 year olds and maybe a second rounder to a young team who could be cup contenders this year or next for three of their best young players, who I might add have recently been signed long term.

So ridiculous is your "proposal" that from your post below and this thread, one can only assume you're trying to out-clutch clutch.

If we do ever trade the Twins at a TDL, I hope we can sign them right back.  With that concept I agree.  To get a young centre like Barkov for them though just will not happen.  I think we would get picks for the Twins, and then have to get really lucky, and draft a Barkov level player.

I'm off Landeskog one on to Sam Reinhart for Tanev.  If Tanev goes, I think we should be getting a good young centre back, who could be a good combo for Bo.

I don't see JB moving guys out for future assets at the TDL.  He just doesn't seem to do that.

Bertuzzi (post Moore) and Bryan Allen returned Luongo.

Eriksson returned Seguin

Larsen returned Hall

Insane trades do happen, no?

Well they haven`t done it, so what else could it be?

Why are you against the Canucks improving?
