I found it surprising even though I've watched them there whole careers (nhl). Two of the most underrated underapreciated players of all time. Warhippy
Just stop and think for a second. Lidstrom is top 3 all time in Swedish scoring. And probably could have beaten Alferedsson with 1 single extra season which he no doubt could have played. We've some gems in the twins. Hoping they still have 4 or 5 years left. SID.IS.SID.ME.IS.ME
Yep. Barring career ending injuries (*frantically look for a wood surface to kill the bad juju*), the twins should at least play their way to 2nd and 3rd on the Swedish all time list. Maybe even 1st and 2nd if they play well into their 40s (although Sundin will be tough to catch).

But if they can manage 3-4 years of 60+ points, and then average 35-40, they'd probably catch him if they play until their mid-40s. Agree that it's unlikely but I don't put anything past the twins. Green Building
It kills me when people think they should be traded. I don't want to see them ever wearing another jersey. Finishing 2/3 all time would be amazing. even more amazing would be seeing them get some credit around the league. Not from players, they already know, but from fans of other teams. All in all the only thing that matters is that I've watched them since day one in this league and they have done a tremendous job setting an example for other young teammates about what it takes to stay in this league. Hoping they play 3 more seasons. Then we'll take stock of what we have on the roster. Lots can happen in 3 years. Just look at all that's happened over the last 3. Green Building
Even more incredible than finishing 2/3 would be if their careers ended tied for second.
Jaku
Impressive stats, there's no doubt about that. I could see them being 2/3. Catching up with Mats will be a challenge though.

I thought Zetterberg being named captain over hank was a poor choice. I think hank as a captain has done good things for the swedes. some on this board had the sedins on the 3rd line of team Sweden. I'm glad that wasn't the case they deserve the respect they are getting.

Watching the chemistry develop between the Twins and Louie Eriksson at the WCH has looked bright.. especially in this 3rd p of the Euro-Swdn game. They're even cycling a fore-check on the Euro Team! cripplereh
Lidstrom is the most amazing in that group being a D man but think they will end up close but doubt they get past Mats!
Coconuts
Depending on how long they want to play they could easily finish their careers as numbers two and three. And some people want them traded, it boggles the mind. I never want to see them in another NHL uniform, we've been so fortunate to have them. Bombastik der Teutone
imagine a alltime healthy peter forsberg ..he may would be no.2 behind alfie but great stats by the twins ..and they never missed a significant time of a season

Considering the recent downswing in points/season in the NHL 60 isn't as easy as it was even 5 years ago it seems.... I would think they will hit that mark for at least another 2-3 years though. -AJ-
How about Edler at 49th though. That guy is sneakily racking up the career point totals.
IbanezRG
Anyone who looks at games played as well as point totals would notice that Peter Forsberg is the real winner on that list.
apollo
Here's how my list currently looks, all time Lidstrom - #1 Forsberg - #2 Sundin - #3 Alfredson - #4 Daniel / Hank - 5/6 Naslund - #7 I think Hank and Daniel have potential to finish #2 and #3. Forsberg and Lidstrom had the benefit on being on pre cap era stacked teams... If Sedins keep pace, they should easily be undisputed #2 and #3 and Lidstrom. Put Hank / Daniel on those teams and they're easily ahead of them all in points.
zombieksa
I'm in the belief that the twins will play at least 1 year, but probably 2 passed their current contracts. So lets say they average 50 points in those 4 years your looking at either a 2&4 or 2&3 finish. Personally, I think if in two years time the Canucks seem very ahead of schedule and are competing heavily, the twins will sign yearly until the core matures just for their shot to win it here. I predict we have another 5 years of the Sedins. Be it on the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd line.
