BowtieCanuck
At first hearing Stetcher was going down kind of bugged me and then I remembered that there is the expansion draft AND a season in the AHL will help him.

kingofsurrey
After seeing how Willie prepared our clubs OT strategy ( lack of strategy other than playing the slowest skaters on our club ) i realized he needed to go.
kingofsurrey
Even the guys at at the Brownsville Pub and RV Park no longer support Willie as coach of the Canucks. Those guys watch every canuck game and really know their hockey......

Trebreh
do we need Dorsett and Burrows to play a certain amount of games to expose them to the expansion draft? cause i dont know how they survive cuts when other vets around the league are getting waived like Laich, Parenteau.. D.Sedin - H.Sedin - Eriksson Beartschi - Horvat - Virtanen Rodin - Sutter - Hansen Granlund - Gaunce - Etem i think this is the roster we should go with. maybe pick up Pulkinen as a project or Peluso for toughness. (ive always been a fan of him so :P)

This will most likely be his last season with us and he will probably retire unless he can find a depth role elsewhere.
Apricot
I, as many of you, are upset that Stetcher was sent down. But majority of you all are right, playing under Green with 15-20 minutes a night will do wonders for his development. This is definitely not the last time we see him this year. He'll be back up again. Im more upset over Etem. How has this guy made the team? I'd be REALLY pissed off if Gaunce gets sent down. He has worked damn hard for years, everyone knows it and everyone can see it. He deserves the spot in the lineup, and this isn't like the Stetch treatment. Stetch could use those big minutes to help him. Gaunce has proved that he is an NHL player, and to me, big minutes under Green won't help him anymore. Gaunce should be on the team, he deserves it more than anyone. I know it, you know it, even the management knows it. I'd be okay with Virtanen being sent down. Big minutes under Green would be awesome for his development. Last year we all saw some solid flashes of what type of player he is. A year under Green would make him 100% better than that player. DeNiro
I could see us claiming Seth Griffith too. Drafted by Benning and a former linemate of Horvat's. Either way, I would be surprised if we didn't make a claim on someone.

Granlund is a skilled forward, not a checker. Rodin is hurt and, by the sounds of it, won't be playing for awhile. Granlund - Sutter - Hansen Burrows - Gaunce - Dorsett and when Rodin gets back Granlund - Sutter - Rodin Hansen - Gaunce - Dorsett Burrows

kingofsurrey
No Rodin now so maybe more like... D.Sedin - H.Sedin - Eriksson Beartschi - Horvat - Virtanen Granlund - Sutter - Hansen Ruutu - Gaunce - Etem

WD said last week that he wants Horvat to concentrate on defence and not worry about scoring so put Etem on his line instead of Virtanen who will likely be in Utica. Dorsett and Burrows are probably regulars in the lineup.
PrinceGeorgeGoon
After what i seen in the preseason i will be suprised if Horvat stays 2nd Center. ITs a great situation hes only 21. I also think Hansen slots above Virtanen that is if Virtanen doesnt go straight to Utica,

appleboy
That 65 point prediction made will not happen this year. The conversation about bottom six players is meaningless. Rodin is the biggest concern for me. This lineup is still very thin and goals will be a concern. Having Stecher and Pedan in Utica give us defensive depth. Sending Virtanen down to learn to play a greater offensive role may be wise.

I really dont see the need for Dorsett anymore as we have Labate, Zalewski, Rendulic and Megna for call ups.
