Haha. I'm pretty confident Larsen is on a short leash. He will not be Weber 2.0. Remember Willie is also on a short leash. If he continues to play a D who can't defend and ultimately costs us games he will be fired. This is a make or break year for Willie. His contract has not been extended.  Unless the Canucks make the playoffs he is pretty much toast. And he may be toast regardless if Benning wants Green in next year.

I fail to see how Willie is on a short leash...

He's had junk during his tenure and done pretty good.

The Calgary series wasn't great but neither was our team - Weber/Sbisa getting top 4 minutes and I'll see ya.....

I don't remember you talking about our owner being involved in hockey decisions.  I think Aquaman has been budging in since day one.

Francesco is all over this club. Always has been. He's the same way in his development and construction business. He's very hands on. No way JB puts Burr on waivers without Francesco's approval.

He's in the final year of his contract. If he was the long term answer he would have signed an extension by now. No way he is back next year unless we at minimum make the playoffs.

Do you see Green as the new coach if WD can't get us back to the post season?

Thanks for the perspective.  It's clear Aqualini tries to stay in the background, pulling the strings of 'his' puppets.  I just never thought Trevor Linden would be a 'yes' man.  I wonder if TL's personal business ventures were doing poorly, and that financial circumstances pushed him into this current Preside position?

From what I hear Linden has done well in his development business ventures. Not sure about his Club 16.  Based on the cheap rates he's probably in the red on that venture. But overall he's done well for himself. But a million dollar salary would help just about anyone. Even you and me Alfie.... B)

Yup I have no doubt that Alf can turn a million dollars into about a hundred thousand easily lol.

My scooter runs pretty cheap, but Mrs. Alf could easily spend that - and A LOT more. :frantic:

Excuse me but how do you see that Willie has  " done pretty good " with our club.

I thought last year we were a steaming pile of poop that finished 27th out of 30 teams.  To me that does not qualify as pretty good.

The sooner Willie is fired and TG is brought in , the better off our club will be.

Etem better start playing like how he finished last season again. Or he will be this seasons Weber with the fanbase.

I was worried that they were rushing Rodin, hopefully there is no major set back.

I prefer the experience of Ruutu at centre and let Gaunce grow on the wing with less defensive responsibilities but I can also see Gaunce as 4C and have Burrows on the left wing.

It's a coin flip beteeem Ruutu and Skille. You can make an argument for both. We will find out tomorrow. I just see Ruutu as having more versatility than Skille and is also a former 20 goal scorer in the NHL while Skille has been a fringe NHL'er his entire career.

Would be nice to have both Rutuu and Skille..  I can see Rutuu getting more points,.  But Skille plays like that knee out/ power driving go to the net guy that puts the apples in the crease.

I think each would be left alone if they had to clear waivers to stay within reach,.  Or maybe they wouldn't .. At least these 2 have performed well enough to be with 50% of the clubs in the NHL . Good luck to both.

WD was the one who choose to use Weber.

If you actually followed this team last year and still managed to come to the conclusion that we finished where we did because of WD, I might think you're delusional...

Ruutu and/ or Skille have his job right now.

Trade bait. Hope he finds his inner light because it is dwindling to a flicker.
