Herberts Vasiljevs
It's about time he signed a PTO. He had an impressive WCOH tourney. Well deserved.
Master Mind
Still don't understand why the Canucks haven't given him a chance since he left Buffalo. Definitely worth a PTO at the very least.

If I were him, I'd want to be back where I was productive.
Coconuts
Mixed feelings on this, he deserves a shot but the Bruins? Work is work I suppose.
Phil_314
Why do people suggest he should come back? At best he'll be a 3rd pair guy with Eddie, Tanev, Hutton and Guddy in top-4, plus probably Stecher as another puck-mover and several young lefties on hand to battle for the other spot (Pedan, Tree, Sbisa). With the team retooling, older guys shouldn't be handed quality spots as it could hinder the youth's development. Sure he did do well in the World Cup but if the team wants to blend skilled puck-moving (Eddie, Hutton, Stecher/ Larsen) with physical/ defensive guys (Tanev, Guddy, Tryamkin, Sbisa, Pedan) I don't think we need to add him. He could actually make it as a 7-8 guy buy then others would have to be exposed to waivers to make room. Not to mention, aside from a great shot, he was a defensive liability and age isn't on his side in getting better in that department.

In hindsight Gillis should've traded Ballard for whatever he could get, and use the space for Ehrhoff, but that was a business decision, not a personal one. I don't think all players want to come to the Canucks. Quite the opposite actually. However, I do think a player would enjoy a return to where he was most successful. He would, but if he gels with the Sedins again, he'd be worth keeping as a 6th d-man I'd think. Even if that exposes someone else to waivers, if he earned the spot I'd be fine with it. Pickly
Oh god people are still whining about Ehrhoff. The guy got greedy and when he signed with Buffalo he publicly stated that they would give him the best chance at winning. Well look at how that paid off. Drive-By Body Pierce
I wonder if he thinks this is also his best chance at winning a cup?

The Canucks were backing up the money truck as well. That's one of the biggest reason Canucks fans were über peeved off at Ehrhoff. That and the perceived parting shot about the Stanley Cup. Overall though, he was basically lost to the salary cap more than anything else. Darcy Regier just hyped him and Robyn Regehr on the Sabres to help seal the final deals with them that off-season. Lancaster
Edler always needed a "safety blanket", whether it was Ohlund, Salo or Ehrhoff. Tanev is decent, but still not the best choice. Edler needs someone else to be the main offensive guy or the #1 defenseman, so he can be the #2. He plays at his best when it's not the main man. Ehrhoff could help in that department.
