[PTO] Christian Ehrhoff with Bruins

Recommended Posts

Ehrhoff is interesting. He played a huge role in the World Cup and looked solid.

A Bleacher Report article written one year ago ranked him as the 25th best left-side defenseman: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2573767-nhl-500-ranking-the-top-75-left-defencemen/page/17

What is interesting is that he is sort of pegged as a pure offensive defenseman. However, the article states that while his offense has declined he is reliable defensively and is a good transition player. his HERO Chart from 2014-2015 (when he was looking to be washed up) looked excellent, and not too bad last year either.

While he is definitely not a player you sign big money to in your top four, he would be a good option as a reliable #5. While Sbisa is younger and more physical, I would honestly rather Ehrhoff eat up minutes in our top four when injuries hit.

See kids. This is why corsi is a piss poor way to judge a player.

Yup. Otherwise he would be making 4 million per year and wouldn't be heading to Europe.

I really liked him in Vancouver and thought he was solid in the World Cup. But based on his inability to get a contract, he does t have any game left.
