In seemingly stark contrast to everyone else, the Oilers are happy to pick 17th and 26th.

I'll just wait to see who drops to us.

After JE14 decides if a kid being one inch taller and 5 pounds heavier when he pukes on the bike test will change his opinion of 3 years of junior hockey.

Hah!

BTW the draft will take a standstill at 12th overall until I figure out what colour socks the players near my pick plan on wearing to the Entry Draft.

Just a warning now.

"That colour of sock shows confidence. He passes the eye candy test"

"Got a good face and good jaw"

We have a trade to announce...

To CAR: Riley Tufte, 2017 St Louis 5th (126th overall)

To CBJ: Tucker Poolman

Thanks to @winterhawks for the always smooth negotiations over the past week or so.

This was a tough one, due to my below average incredibly massive hard on for all things Jets. And considering Poolman will start the season in the NHL, it was not easy to give up that depth. But with Buff and Scheifele already, seemed redundant. But considering I've been following him for 3 years now, this was a difficult decision and he will be missed.

As for Tufte, he had a down and up season. In 37 games this year in college, he recorded 16 points. However, he didn't record a single point in the first 14 games of the season, so he managed to get 16 points in the remaining 23 games, and was named college player of the month in January. While he's likely 2-3 years away, I needed a lot more depth on front going forward, so this made sense.
