Time for the yearly, "Willing to listen on Ryan Pulock."

Going to protect him in expansion, so no chance of losing him for free. But looking to upgrade either forward or defense for playoffs, and would rather make splash earlier than later.

The Philadelphia Flyers are looking to retool this season. We aim to keep our core intact, but depth players can be acquired. Looking to ship out some of our depth players in return for adequate prospects. Namely, players that are available include Mike Ribeiro (having a tremendous season, potential playoff player, top 6), Patrick Eaves (also having a tremendous season, top minutes with Benn + Seguin on PP) and Marco Scandella (depth playoff defenseman for Minnesota, 2nd in division).

The Flyers call up Barclay Goodrow, Josh Archibald and Chris Brown.

We also place Ales Hemsky on LTIR.

Well done!

While last year I had terrific representation, I have a grand total of "0" prospects this year. Victor Mete was invited to Canada's camp, but unfortunately didn't make the cut this year.

St. Louis Update.

St. Louis is in last place, over 1000 points behind 1st. Not surprising, but still impressively bad.

Jakub Voracek is playing well--definitely the team MVP to this point.

Dion Phaneuf is second in team scoring (ouch).

Other positives include Ryan Dzingel, Denis Malgin and that's it.

Really. We're building for the future. Players like Phaneuf, Krejci, Ward, Greene, Gorges and more remain on the block!

Timo Meier recently scored his first goal (St. Louis calls up Timo Meier :) ) @Nail

Peoria Bulldogs Update.

Positives:

Jakub Zboril, Olli Juolevi, Gabriel Carlsson and Noah Juulsen have made their respective World Junior teams.

Jake Guentzel got the call up so glad to see he's close to breaking through with the big club full time. Same for Zach Sanford in Washington.

Aaron Irving has basically matched his previous seasons point total in the WHL but we're less than half way through the season. So, that's good.

Cliff Pu is having a great year with the London Knights--49 points in 30 games.

Markus Nutivaara--He's playing with Columbus but I put him on ELC slide!

Negatives:

Nikita Scherbak isn't really developing like I'd hoped. He's in the AHL doing ok...I look for more out of him.

Everybody else.

Los Angeles Kings would like to congratulate Martins Dzierkals for being selected to Team Latvia for the WJC-20 tournament.

We would also like to thank our new goaltending tandem - Johnson/Condon - for their recent performances. It's nice to finally get some goaltender points. In fact, in the 2 weeks since Johnson has been here, and less than 1 week that Condon has, they have racked up 60 points... ...Elliott/Lack had a total of only 50 previously.

@Nail

In preparation for an incoming trade:

Carolina Hurricanes assign defenseman Ryan Pulock to the AHL.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also, forward Shane Doan has agreed to waive his NMC. With 73 pool points on the season and in the final year of his contract, could be useful to a team looking for extra points to sneak into a playoff spot.

We have a minor trade to announce...

To LAK: Corey Crawford, Alexandre Grenier

To CAR: Chad Johnson, Alex Martinez, and Jesse Gabrielle

To PHI: Tuukka Rask and Kalle Kossila

Want to thank @D-Money and @kj29 for being great trading partners over the past month on this (dating back to Nov 27th). The original trade pitched was not one I was comfortable with at the time, which is why it took so long to go through.

On my end, I have known for quite some time that I will be protecting goaltender Anthony Stolarz in the upcoming expansion draft. Due to Tuukka's NMC turning into a LNTC two days prior to expansion, he did not want to be exposed in expansion. My defense has also been a big question mark beyond the predictable Byfuglien, Yandle, and Cole (both in points and playing time), so shoring up my defense was important, as it appears that Pulock will take another year to develop in the AHL.

Kings are happy to finally have a bonafide playoff starting goaltender. When we originally discussed a trade like this (involving Elliott), it didn't happen, and we made another trade for Johnson as a plan B. However, putting Johnson in the discussion made the deal come together.

We gave up a lot to make it happen. However, we didn't think we'd be able to afford to extend Martinez. Gabrielle and Kossila are solid forward prospects, but the successes of Labanc, Vatrano, Brown, Greer, Amadio et al made them sort of expendable.

Thanks to @kj29 for being so patient while @Monty kept waffling :P.
