Extension:

Brent Burns and the Boston Bruins have agreed to a 7 year contract extension, worth $56.875M ($8.125M AAV). Deal includes a full NMC.

A mainstay on the Bruins blue line, there was no question as to whether Burns would extend or not. Finding the right term was paramount for Brent, as he has been thrilled with how well the Bruins have played over the past few years. And after winning the Cup last year, Brent wants to finish his career with Boston.

Thanks to GM @JE14, as getting this deal done was a no brainer on our side.

Let's not even discuss how incredible Rasmus Andersson has been in his first season in the AHL and how he deserves a shot with Calgary this year.

WTF does Kyle Wood have to do to deserve an effin' call up? 28 points in 24 games for a 20 year old defenseman, with only 6 PIMs?

You're welcome, btw.

...As for the RL Coyotes, it should be pretty obvious what they're trying to accomplish this year...

And you're welcome for *scans prospects*, um, I guess Jamie Phillips?

It's time for Masters and Disasters for the SJ Sharks - December edition

Masters:

Victor Hedman - He's having a career year, and leads the team with 92 points this month. He's become one of the top defencemen in this league.

Eric Staal - Leading the drive on offence, Eric has picked up 90 points, and is a big reason for the RL Wild's success.

Mikko Koivu - Also a key part to the Wild's run, Mikko has doubled his season totals in this month alone.

Disasters:

Marian Hossa - He's really dropped off from his earlier pace. Hopefully it's just a slump, instead of Oct/Nov being the anomaly.

Petr Mrazek - His RL team is struggling, and to make matters worse, he isn't getting the starts of a #1 goalie.

Yannick Weber - Still waiting for him to do something. He has not adapted well since being acquired.

Overall, a very good month for the Sharks. Have finally climbed up the standings, passing some very good teams to reach 3rd in the division. I believed in this team even when in 25th, and I still believe they're capable of climbing higher.

NTC/NMC Note

The trade deadline is fast approaching. To make trading go smoothly, I urge any team that may be looking to move a player with such a clause, to first contact me to see where they will move to. This should be done prior to any negotiations.

Players with LNTC will have a list of teams, which will change year to year. As for players with NMC/NTC, do not be surprised if players come back and say they will not waive their clause at all. And if they do, they may only give a list of a few teams, or even one team.

Happy New Year!

I would like to thank GMs @Drewismyname, @Tony Romo, and @Dak Prescott. All were very patient and fine to deal with. Would also like to thank @Master Mind for processing the trades as well. Lastly, wish Brandon Tanev and Michal Rozsival all the best on their new clubs.

With Scheifele and Buff, I already had Jet representation, and with Tanev in the minors at the moment, as well as the Kings' chances of making the playoffs a little higher than the Jets (games in hand and Quick hopefully back to make a run), getting Setoguchi and a 3rd in return was a smart move for us. Paul Martin is also having another consistent year in San Jose, and will finish somewhere between 20-30 points. The best thing about Martin is that he's predictable. I can count on him for a set amount of points, which also means I'll get something in the first round, not sure Rozsival was going to do that for me.

Taylor Hall is still OTB and could be moved. While I still would prefer a package of a 2nd line center + + in return, all offers (even futures) will be considered.
