That might be the difference between him being a middle 6 scorer and a AHL tweener. I would put a claim in on him and Griffith just in case you don't get one you get the other. But 'helping' prospects pick up a half step' as Derp puts it is one thing when you're talking about an 18 yr old - quite another when you're talking about a 24 yr old. Anyhow, if this team is going to the waiver wire, I think McNeill may be more realistic in any event (I'm guessing Toronto takes Pulkkinen - they have no intention of winning this year despite some loopy projections of media that have them making the playoffs - and they can afford to keep him around at 60 or 70% as he tries to recover). McNeill may be the better fit in any event, as a big, two way center that is more cut out for a bottom six role than Pulkkinen.
