Monty
Heard it was $6.75M/per. Great deal. Sure the Flames would have preferred a longer term, but still a fantastic signing. Flames are going to be dangerous, as long as they can get solid coaching.
Qwags
The Prodigal Son returns. With a substantial check, no less.
Beary Sweet
Ends up not being the $7-8 million he had been wanting. Calgary got a hometown discount right there
D.B Cooper
That's unfortunate. I was hoping he would handcuff the flames and only sign for 8mill. 6.75 is pretty fair for both sides.
CaptainKool
Exhale Flame fans, I was hoping somewhere 8 or more just to fk them up.

Brad Marchand
Hard not to like the deal if you're a Flames fan. Wish he had strung them out for a little more, though.
Jam126
You couldn't have waited until after Oct. 15?
Honky Cat
Good signing for the Flames..I have no idea what all the fuss was about?
Zoolander
I still think this handcuffs them a bit going forward. Flames fans can exhale now though...

Mackcanuck
Bob McKenzieVerified account@TSNBobMcKenzie Gaudreau gets a $3M signing bonus now and also scheduled for $3.5M SB in potential lockout year (2020-21). But AAV on 6 yr deal is $6.75M.
Master Mind
Was hoping the AAV would be a lot higher.
Aircool
I think you guys are missing the fact that it's a 6 year deal. I believe that is only 1 UFA year? The AAV might be lower than he'd get on a UFA or a long term contract while having arbitration rights, that's still a huge number considering they gave away only 1 UFA year and he had no negotiating strength. King Heffy
Decent deal for the midget. Gets paid and only has to live in that hellhole for one extra year.
