North Korea Warns It Would Use Nuclear Weapons First

In all reality North Korea is a joke they just had a fishing boat shot up by the Russians. Real smart eh? Piss off the two most powerful countries.

American generals know their capabilities are limited, if they're not to concerned no need for anyone else to be. Nevertheless that wing nut makes for good conversation.

I think this really teaches us a lesson, as Canadians. If Trump is elected, we're gonna have to be agreeable, or they're going right to the nukes.

Really? Don't you think nuking Canada would be bad for their health as well?

I dunno I just can't imagine American Generals allowing this.

I think it would be cheaper to build a northern wall. Side note apparently some British tv show made a joke about a wall but saying Canada should build a wall, save Trump the money..

O so it's not a show then? My bad.

To be fair to Trump he says "southern border" and the only person I seen say northern wall was some guy from Mississippi or some southern state and you can't really take those comments serious but the cbc likes to play that card.

It was a show.  They made the site about 6 or 7 months ago as part of it.

I'd say that is a BS. It's a weapon that is effective when you don't use it. Once you use it, it's no longer effective.

NK and their leader look like they are crazy but they are very calculative. They know this is the only means to get what they want.

That card went out the window years ago when they took aid in lieu of further nuclear development.  They lied so that bargaining chip has been off the table for a while.

It doesn't stop them. These guys don't negotiate in good faith. They know what's at stake. Nuclear threat is not something you want to take lightly and they know the Americans can do no $hit to them.

Peaceful conversation is the only way to go even though it will probably take decades... but with the right wing (some consider, extreme right wing) South Korean government in power, there aren't going to be any peaceful talks starting anytime soon.

In fact, the current party in power feeds off of threats like this to get votes. Kind of like Republicans in the US.
