Good to hear Tanev isn't out long, but Tryamkin not getting a look ahead of Stecher probably isn't his favourite thing (even if he liked the instagram post). With Larsen hitting his stride a little bit he'll probably stick even with Stecher being a similar style player, otherwise we might have seen Tryamkin in Larsen's place. We'll see though.

It'll shut up all the people freaking out about Stecher being sent down in the first place at least.

tanev is a rh dman

tryamkin is a lh dman who has been on a conditioning stint

stecher is a rh dman

the only other available rh dman is biega

tryamkin is not a good fit to replace tanev because of his fitness and the wrong side in the d alignment

edit;  larsen is also a rh dman and so tryamkin is not suitable to replace him either

benning just spent this past off season fixing the rh and lh d situation on the team

i doubt he is willing to just give up on this issue when the first dman is hurt

Thanks.

That explains Tanev's poor showing against Anaheim. Thought he looked slow to the puck and his usual efficient self.

Too bad Rodin's injury is a long term thing. I hope Virtanen steps up his game.

If guys are hurt they should be honest with the trainers. It's like playing a man down in a tight game.

Thanks for sharing +1

Hmmm so troy gets in over tree? Or is someone coming out?

Don't see larsen or sbisa coming out... So I assume tree still doesn't play.

Excited to see Megna in a regular season game!

Trymakin can play both sides and well so do not know where you get your info!

plus he is not on a conditioning stint as they want him in Utica but his contract states he has a say and will not go,so why not play him???

because he needs a conditioning stint in utica

the team wants to send him there for that purpose alone

so it seems we get our info from similar places, you just read it differently

and tryamkin plays lh on the defence

all the d can play their opposite side, as can he

but his preferred and best side is left d

(the only dman on our roster who prefers the off side is gub.. he is rh dman who plays left side)

I think that Rodin showed us that he is the real deal in the preseason.  I'd be happy to wait as long as it takes to get him to 100%.

Sooner is better but if it's Christmas or later so be it.

It's been so long since ive seen or heard Rodin's name.  I forgot he was even a member of this team lol. with all the good news and wins. im surprised i forgot lol

Nice to see Stecher up so early in the season. He would've had solid development in Utica with 20+ minutes / game. Gelled well with Edler in the preseason. Still shaking my head to why they would call him up if they have Try in the press box. Can't wait till tomorrow night to find out Who's in and who's out.
