Ossi Vaananen
I figured I would start a thread about all the miscellaneous Canucks stuff trickling in today. I think everyone who visits these boards should know, without having to navigate a multitude of topics. Here goes:
HerrDrFunk
I wish he wasn't replacing Tanev....but I'm excited to see Stecher get his shot!
Katobaron
Tryamkin doesn't seem to mind the call up
khay
Thanks. That explains Tanev's poor showing against Anaheim. Thought he looked slow to the puck and his usual efficient self. Too bad Rodin's injury is a long term thing. I hope Virtanen steps up his game.

elvis15
Good to hear Tanev isn't out long, but Tryamkin not getting a look ahead of Stecher probably isn't his favourite thing (even if he liked the instagram post). With Larsen hitting his stride a little bit he'll probably stick even with Stecher being a similar style player, otherwise we might have seen Tryamkin in Larsen's place. We'll see though. It'll shut up all the people freaking out about Stecher being sent down in the first place at least.
coastal.view
the stetcher call up should make only one player nervous larsen as he outplayed him in training camp and preseason but was easier to demote to utica based on contractual matters

If guys are hurt they should be honest with the trainers. It's like playing a man down in a tight game.
Crabcakes
I think that Rodin showed us that he is the real deal in the preseason. I'd be happy to wait as long as it takes to get him to 100%. Sooner is better but if it's Christmas or later so be it.
apollo
Thanks for sharing +1 Hmmm so troy gets in over tree? Or is someone coming out? Don't see larsen or sbisa coming out... So I assume tree still doesn't play. Excited to see Megna in a regular season game!
Beeekz37
I'm liking the stecher call up, would love to see him get a shot, but still want Tryamkin to get in the lineup. Gonna be interesting over the next couple days.

pluralsight
This is probably unfair to Stecher to make this comparison, but maybe he could be this year's Shayne Gostisbehere? Started the year in the A, gets called up and never looks back.

Beary Sweet
Nice to see Stecher up so early in the season. He would've had solid development in Utica with 20+ minutes / game. Gelled well with Edler in the preseason. Still shaking my head to why they would call him up if they have Try in the press box. Can't wait till tomorrow night to find out Who's in and who's out.
