Apple Juice
Paajarvi would be a good pickup for a bottom dweller looking to fill roster spots... Or Paajarvi back to Edmonton
higgyfan
Both #10s in their drafts. Another Edm bust, I see. NY fans are mad about McIlrath; claiming that AV "hates" him and never gave him a chance. Van passes: Too many Paarjavi types already on the team; might as well have kept Etem. Don't need another shutdown dman on the team. McIlrath will likely be picked up by TO or Edm.

Sean Monahan
I wouldn't be opposed to Paajarvi, especially in the short term.
Trebreh
Pick up Mcllrath just in case Tryamnkin goes back to Russia. waive Biega!

garthsbutcher
I would pick up Mcllrath, big and mean, we still seem to be getting pushed around. Other teams will think twice about running our goalies. Hes an insurance policy in the event tree bolts. I would waive Biega (dime a dozen), and take a shot at this. He can always be waived again ala Etem.

coryberg
I remember watching the draft and laughing when the rags picked this guy. Tough as nails but zero offense and average skillset besides. I had them picking Tarasenko at 10 before the draft but when Fowler slipped that far I was sure they would pick him, instead they chose this meathead. Lockhart
Would like to see us pick up McIllrath and dump Biega. I don't see why Tryamkin isn't given a shot in Sbisa's spot. On the 3rd pairing next year it could be Tryamkin - Stecher or Tryamkin - McIllrath Once we move out Burrows, Miller and Sbisa that is what 13 million in cap space? Gives us the space to re-sign our RFA's and bring in a decent UFA.

(if it is Hutton hurt, then Sbisa probably moves up and Tryamkin takes his place on 3rd pairing) If Tanev, Hutton, or, Larsen gets injured you have Stecher. Biega doesn't really fit into any particular role. Mcilrath showing Tryamkin what a mean streak is could be useful.
Ossi Vaananen
I thought McIlrath was 3rd pairing tough guy at worst. Might be worth a look, but we have 8 healthy D up with us and Tanev possibly going on IR. Paajarvi never turned out. Shocked that we didn't snag back Etem. DeNiro
Mcilrath has Benning type player written all over him. I say pick him up and waive Biega. We can play him for a season and then expose him in the expansion draft. Or if he outplays Tryamkin then expose Tryamkin.

I haven't really followed him too much since his early days in Edmonton. Maybe a team full of his countrymen and good leaders like the Sedins could get him back on track? We already saw them send Pedan down who has a similar skillset. So yea, they probably pass on The Rath. With our desperate need for scoring though, Paajarvi is an interesting option. Can anyone really say he doesn't bring as much as Rodin would?
c00kies
I do not want DM; he lacks puck moving ability, is only decent defensively, is not very mobile, and has no offensive ability. I am on the fence with MP, but I don't know where he would fit. He would be a better Rodin replacement than Skille though.
