Through 7 games, Phillip Larsen is a -5

Sedin Brothers

Coincidence? Does his offense make up for his lack of defense?

Interestingly enough the next two players are Daniel (-3) and Henrik (-4)

Honestly, can anyone say they're surprised? When JB said "We got Phillip Larsen to replace Yannick" this was my exact thought of how it would go.

Still believe though!!

Pretty good representation actually (a rarity for +/-)

The Sedins have only been effective on the PP where +s aren't awarded, and Larsen has not been putting up the points to offset his weakness on the boards in the d zone. Daniel and Henrik are not playing with confidence which is sad to see :(

The Sedin's actually have been playing relatively well, and I think Eriksson helps their game. Unfortunately I don't think we can expect many goals from Eriksson with the way they're playing.

Sedin's are scared to shoot right now.

Relative to the rest of the team? I guesso.. but they are supposed to be our elite players, not just 'playing well' compared to the rest. There's a night and day difference between when they are confident and threading passes, to when they are not and almost start to look like players who aren't even reading the game very well... I know they will regain their confidence again and hopefully Friday as they play well against the Oil, but the last few games haven't been great for them IMO.

That's wonderful. Glad they brought in this secret weapon from Europe who was going to improve our PP and add scoring from the back end. I'm curious how many shots he's taken and what the percentage is of shots that actually hit the net.

13 shots on net for Larsen with an average shot length of 55ft - in line with the other Ds on the team who shoot from between 50 and 55ft.  Edler has 17 shots tied with Sutter for 2nd highest number of shots on net on the team.  Henrik is the highest at 18 shots on net.

Among the Fs - Virtanen is the 2nd furthest with an average shot length of 36ft for 8 shots on net.  Horvat also has 8 shots that hit the net but from 26ft from the net.  Henrik, Daniel, Hansen, Sutter and Horvat are all between 25 and 28ft.  Eriksson and Baertschi shoot from the closest at 19ft with 10 shots on net for both.
