[Proposal] VAN-COL and VAN-WPG Deals

1st Trade

To WPG:  Virtanen and Tryamkin

To VAN:  Trouba

Let's face it, when Trouba came out to request a trade, his value dropped a bit.  This deal gets done with a bit of tweaking.

2nd Trade

To COL:  Tanev, Gaunce, 2nd

To VAN:  Landeskog

Tanev is worth a lot in this league.  The stats don't lie.  Gaunce is no 'throw-in' either.  He has some very good upside.  The 2nd is in there because GMJB likes giving them up.

Basically, Trouba takes Tanev's spot, and Landeskog is now in our Top 6 ... and he's Swedish, which means he should be a Canuck... cuz we all Swedish... err.. Canucks.

Trouba isn't coming to Canada. And Winnipeg is certainly not dealing him to Vancouver. Forget him.

Gaunce hasn't shown much in the NHL yet. He is not enough to interest Colorado into moving their captain. Try Tanev + Virtanen + + 2nd. It may seem like a lot, but if you don't think Virtanen will be much in the NHL, you do it. Landeskog is the perfect age and could be a great Canuck.

The pressure is to much for Jake to be a modern Bertuzzi and hit and score at the same time. He is too immature and needs to go to another team or have an event happen to him to make him mature.

Should trade him when his value is a little higher right now he hasn't done jack at either the NHL or minor league level.

It he doesn't play regular minutes soon any confidence and the ego he had will be crushed.

The longer he goes without playing well like he can the greater the chance he will take much longer to figure it out if ever.

For the Canucks I see him becoming a bust on his current trajectory.

I've yet to have anyone tell me why Colorado would want Tanev. Sure, he's a good player, but they already have two top 4 RHD and having another would put them in the same situation Winnipeg is in with Trouba - either someone plays bottom pairing minutes or has to play their off side.

great faith there

but I do agree and have said many times that he does need to play and trading him is something we do not want to do.

Linden or Benning need to tell Willie he needs to play Jake 15 minutes or more a night and then give Trymakin a shot for a few games or do what I have said Larsen,Sbisa and Trymakin play 2 of 3 games so they all get going, then when more injuries come they will be ready!

VAN Tanev, Tryamkin, Subban, Baertschi, Hansen, 2017 First Rounder

COL Landeskog, Jost, Barrie

I like this trade. We might need to add a 3rd just to sweeten the deal.

Little surprised Monty hasnt commented yet but no way is Virt + Tryamkin getting you Trouba as its not close to value for Winnipeg. Like others have said it is a slim chance that he stays in Canada never mind to a conference rival.

With the Colorado trade while Tanev is a valuable piece they dont really need the RH shot on D at the moment and even if they did it would take more as Guance is worth nothing and the 2nd is not enough.

The deeper rumour around Winnipeg is that Trouba's girlfriend is studying to become a doctor, and she wants to be a doctor in the States (she's American as well).

That said, the Jets give zero f**ks about a 22 year old's wishes and what his "current" girlfriend's wants/needs are. He's their property and, more importantly, Chevy and the fan base have no problem holding out on Trouba. And even making him sit out indefinitely. The fan base especially knows that the team is about 2-3 years away from being a consistent playoff threat, so Trouba making these demands is backfiring big time.

Oh yeah, and Chevy declines hard. Value is off.
