-AJ-
Surprised the Pens could get so much for him seeing how obvious it was that they couldn't use him.
Green Building
From waivers to a 5th in a couple of weeks. Interesting as they have Anderson and Hammond coming off the books the same time (2018).
Beary Sweet
Cool! Ottawa just created a log jam with this deal. Anderson, Hammond and now Condon. More to come from Ottawa maybe...
Quantum
Hammond's injury must be really serious. No need to make the trade unless Hammond is out for at least a couple of weeks. Also, how hard of a fall from grace has Matt O'Connor fallen?!? Once the BIG COLLEGE UFA get... he's now being usurped by Michael Condon on the Sens depth chart for now. Did the Canucks dodge a bullet when they lost his sweepstakes?

Not sure I would call it "dodging a bullet" when all he would have costed was a contract spot.

Type R
Maybe they are expecting Anderson to take some time off with his wifes Illness, or they will expose Condon for the draft?

Well yeah but then again this mean Vancouver would have to send O'Connor down or trade him. If Vancouver does it might make future College FA's reluctant to sign with the team knowing how they treated O'Connor.

Mike Condon may not have much time to get settled in his new home. He could start tonight against the Vancouver Canucks. Craig Anderson has been given a leave of absence to be with his wife Nicholle, who has been diagnosed with cancer and won’t suit up. http://ottawacitizen.com/sports/hockey/nhl/senatorsextra/craig-anderson-granted-leave-of-absence-from-senators-to-spend-time-with-with-nicholle Looks like Ottawa spent a 5th round pick in order to give Anderson some family time.
