RU SERIOUS
It's becoming more apparent that after years of shuffling the chairs around on the Canucks deck that Ownership has failed and this ship is quickly taking on water is barely above the waterline. How many coaches, bad trades, poor scouting, terrible drafting, crippling NTC contracts and ownership meddling escapades do you/we have to witness before people admit the problem starts right at the top. This ownership group has failed this team and failed this city. They should sell the team to a new committed group of owners that have winning as a priority and not as a sideline to a condo and highrise construction portfolio. GB5
I understand that you're frustrated as are we all but millionaire/billionaires don't get that way by selling low, they sell high so the team has to start winning before they would consider such a thing and bring up the value. Green Building
As long as we're being silly we might as well move the team straight to Quebec. The Aquilini's may be meddling, but at least they have deep pockets that they are willing to reach into for max cap dollars. Not to mention that you can make this thread as many times as you like, you can even put a poll on it, but none of it will force them to sell. The next few years (as we near and pass the Sedin's retirement) will give us a much better idea of where we're headed, and allow JB to make a few more moves. Or, if we simply continue as is, enjoy our new draft picks.
Brad Marchand
I don't necessarily support post minimums to start threads. You are an exception to that, however.
BCNeil
Um, yeah there would be no chance in hell they sell the team now. Lots of business reasons, that would be pointless to explain.
Haikara
Relax, we're on our way to first overall at the draft.

TIME FOR CHANGE - THE PEOPLE OF VANCOUVER DERSERVE BETTER ! It's not about you it's about the dollar. Change is a coming to get out butts back in the seats, it's just not gonna be ownership (unless they sell), it''ll start with the coach. 1st step. RU SERIOUS
Agree! Everybody knew from the get-go that Uncle Willie was too soft and was only a temporary-interim coach but things are getting ridiculous! It's one thing to tank but getting shut-out every single boring game is a bit much to watch - don't you think ! Humans have a tolerance level you know. With so many of the scorers not scoring, the coach would be the first obvious change to happen. I think before any major trades, and obviously before some forced ownership change. Grapefruits
It's not about wining for the owner, it's about the bottom line. As long as the sheep keep flocking to games, nothing will change. Even if the Canucks start to lose money, they will become a tax write off.
LaBamba
We have a new #1 contender to challenge Buzzsaw for his stupid thread heavy weight championship. I will be closely monitoring this development.

That's what I was eluding to in my opening comments. The Canucks are just a sideline. (You forgot to finish your sentence) (Hope you don't mind....) SaintPatrick33
I do believe someone other than Gillis was responsible for hiring Torts....after the Torts debacle we should have started some sort of rebuild because the next 2 drafts were absolutely stacked. That is the only thing I can say about aquilini....That first round loss vs lames was costly because instead of rebuilding we reloaded. Also NOT finishing in the top 3 in this past draft really messed us up, could have had an offensive player that we badly need. Lindens face said it all when we got the 5th, he knew what was up. Either way this franchise is just unlucky, time to change up the feng shui baby!

I'll be honest, I stopped reading your post rather quick. Glad you can see whats really happening though. Aquilini isn't a hockey fan, he's a business man. People need to come to that realization.
