Bovechkin
Haha I just realized he kept one of the gloves on during the fight! Just pinned Smith with his left and was hammering away
Bovechkin
And who was money on Tryamkin being benched the next game because he wasn't supposed to hit and fight?
KFBR392
I only caught the first period. I saw him give the puck away twice, then lightly shove a guy from behind that resulted in the sens player looking like the victim of a Raffi Torres charge. Overall I was impressed. Honky Cat
For a guy that has not played a meaningful game in almost a month..I thought he was really good, and generally made the smart play...He had one shift there that really exposed his inexperience, and he also made a tape to tape pass to an incoming Ottawa forward on a breakout. I'm glad that he doesn't appear to be intimidated at the NHL level...actually,it's quite comical watching guys swinging at him, while he's holding their helmet at arms length. billabong
im a fan of tryamkin but he was playing off of adrenaline in his first game lets see if he can keep it up edler-tanev hutton-gudbranson sbisa-tryamkin dump larsen, his 10 game tryout hasnt worked out the pp is still awful

At the very least he can take up room and screen the goalie because that 1st unit in front of the net is quite horrible. I do believe Boston has done this with Chara multiple times What we got to lose? Lets great creative! I know I am getting old, but didn't WD use him there a couple of games last season? LOL I do seem to recall something of the sort...could have been a shift or two but with Willie he loves mixing things up, almost constantly..... although he did get his first point slapping a one timer with the rebound to Sedin. Either way we could consistently put him out there because Larson is getting shots through, but they usually end up on the stick of the PK guys. None of that 1st unit has guys that can mix it up and get rough in front. Burr used to be great at it, but his time has passed.
VIC_CITY
I'm almost ready to throw the towel in on the season if it means we get to see Tryamkin and Stetcher play instead of Sbisa and Larsen. Neither of those guys are in our long term plans, why bother delaying the inevitable? Or...maybe hang onto Sbisa for the expansion draft and trade away Edler if he'll waive. Bottom line is both Tryamkin and Stetcher are NHL ready and given the current state of our franchise, there is no reason why they shouldn't be playing. I know it's still so early in the season but come on, this team is BAD. Hopefully Miller continues his strong play so we can get something decent for him at the deadline. I'd also trade Dorsett if he would garner any interest at the deadline. No more half assing this s***. I'm ok with a losing season. I just want to see the kids gets a chance to play. The future is now. PS - Juolevi better be good. Tkachuk now has 6 points and is +5 in his 1st 10 games. Unreal for an 18 year old. *sigh*

Agreed, I felt he was decent tonight, his first shift lasted more than 3 seconds, he handled himself real good during the fight, showed some rust/inexperience but the more he plays the rust will disappear while continuing to feel more comfortable and less intimidated at the NHL level. He was on the PP and in front of the net for his team in the KHL so I think that would be a great idea. Chara does that all the time.

Hopefully when Tanev comes back we still let Trymak play, but I have a feeling we will be stuck with Larsen and Sbizza, this years Weber and Bartkowski (although a lot better)
EmilyM
Expectedly had some rust out there. But there was one characteristic that was super important. And that is, he was noticeable out there.
Hairy Kneel
Man those hits esp the one on Turris, he was finishing his checks and scaring the begeezus out of their forwards. He hits harder than Gud. His slapshot took out one of their guys. He is money on the pk as per usual with that wings span. When he pushed Turris out of the crease was pure gold. Our D has been soft as a babys behind I'm glad Try showed up and gave us a edge we've been needing.
smokes
Gotta keep Tryamkin. Larson is starting to make Weber and Bartkowski look like all stars.
DeNiro
Not a coincidence that this team had 27 hits with him in the lineup. When a player can hit like him and back it up it's contagious. Players play bigger when they know they've got teammates like that that can back them up.

saucypass
Thought he played well! Protected our players and gave our team some push back. Our defense is starting to get some grit.
