Stecher must be having tons of fun hopping on planes and going back to hop on another plane after he was called up just a week ago. Glad to see him back up here. Here's hoping he notches his 1st points against the Laffs. GCG!

They need to tie a big rubber band round his waist. :P

We will probably see Biega a few times now, unless they strap an oxygen tank to #88s back.

Brigade needs to play 19 games, so does Sbisa to qualify for the coming expansion draft.  I was wondering if Biega goes in if Sbisa gets injured?  The Canucks need one of those two to reach that number.  Maybe when Sbisa gets to the number, Biega is waived, and .Stecher stays on the big club?

As much as Stecher deserve to be recalled...we can't spend the season sending him back and forth because the point on sending him down is to get him minutes and consistency playing hard minutes.  If we keep doing this, the guy will be exhausted and confused come Christmas time.   What's the point of keeping Biega up if he won't play. Stetcher shouldn't be an ermergency callup.

The only way this makes sense is if Tanev is gone for at least 3-4 weeks, hence stability for Stetcher.

D pairs of Tanev and Edler can't go:

Hutton Guddy

sbisa stretcher

tryamkin Larsen

those are son FFFugly pairings, like worse than James Franco's handbag in the interview ugly.

Actually those pairing don't look too bad.  Stay at home guy with some grit, paired with a puck mover.  I wonder is little Subban could come up for Larsen?

If there was a way to bring up Subban to addition instead of Larsen, I would be on board with that.  I think they'll have to demote someone or put a person on waivers to do it though unless we have more folks going to IR.

I would actually be more curious about Tryamkin and Stecher.  Tryamkin helps to offset Stecher's size limitations.

I wasn't able to watch the game last night.  How did Tryamkin look?  Out of gas early in shifts?

Would of rather seen Pedan come up instead and see what he can do. Love the way Stetcher plays but he needs some stability somewhere. A rotation of Pedan, Stetcher, Sautner and Subban coming up could prove interesting and allow for a view of all of them. Considering what a liability Larsen is I don't see how Subban could be to much worse and he at least might put up some points. I think its clear already that this year needs to be a development year with our top pair already injured and being shut out 4 times with the lowest goal total in the league.

Edler-Tanev

Hutton-Guddy

Tryamkin- stetcher

Sbisa-Biega

Larsen-Pedan

Subban-Sautner

Hopefully we can trade one or two guys  for some offensive help.

I read on hockey news of the idea of trading Tanev for Bruins Spooner. I like this trade as it gives us a playmaker which we are currently lacking.

Looked alright on the ice, looked like he was weezing on the bench.

Do we know if he's a smoker - tobacco?  I heard Ferraro say (I think it was him?) that smoking amongst the Russian born players is more common than with the other guys.

No idea. Phil Esposito use to smoke cigars between periods though.

 Ferraro said the coaches told the Russian guys to NOT smoke in the change room, so the took to smoking in the treatment room.  Ferraro said it was like going into a Bingo Hall - all grey smoke.  Didn't Lafleur smoke darts between periods?
