No he was solid in pre-season. In the regular season, he's inconsistent.

He has been bad when asked to play on the power play.  He has also been not great skating back into his own zone in transition.  But he has also been very good in his own end.  He has also played 75% of his minutes in his own zone, so I would say he is doing pretty well(zone starts wise).

Weber was better

Larsen has one of our higher shot totals, so I don't know about the hitting the net part.  Weber couldn't skate, couldn't pass, and he refused too shoot the whole year.  Larsen has been great outside of the physical side of the game.  If we planted someone in front of the net on the power play he would have scored by now.  Hard to shoot from that far out and score on a goalie without a screen or a tip.

 Ferraro said the coaches told the Russian guys to NOT smoke in the change room, so the took to smoking in the treatment room.  Ferraro said it was like going into a Bingo Hall - all grey smoke.  Didn't Lafleur smoke darts between periods?

Lemieux smoked between periods...Lafleur smoked between shifts bruh

I wasn't able to watch the game last night.  How did Tryamkin look?  Out of gas early in shifts?

Wish I could tell you, but from what I listened to (I don't get off early enough from work to catch these games), he looked ready to play and he brought quite a bit of physicality to the lineup.

Wish they'd recall the Sedins from 2010.

Wish we HAD an impact scoring prospect with potential to recall.  The three most recent highly-rated forward prospects we had before Brock who haven't made it to the league (Jared, Hunter,  Jensen) have amounted to exactly no production this season, so at least it's not like we lost any potential production, but then again it also shows how much the team needs an injection of talent up front and not trying to skip the process of development by getting kids on the fringe of the league with bust potential (Clendening, Etem, Vey, even Sven and Granlund).

Glad that we got Troy for nothing though, and hope he can become a solid 25-30 point D-man.

He's a carbon copy of Weber in his own zone.  Nowhere close to acceptable and a complete liability out there.  Even with the injuries, there's no excuse for even considering dressing that pylon.

Hutton-Gudbranson
Sbisa-Larsen
Tryamkin-Biega

Larsen in the top four?   He's not even good enough to be in the lineup.  Someone give WD a drug test.

Who is the top pairing, now that the top pairing is out?

Hutton and Gudbranson? Yikes. The way Hutton has been playing, it might be worth moving him down the depth chart some.

Not up to your standard Phil

Sbisa on the top pair then?

I agree Hutton may be going through a sophomore thing but....

Not my standard. I'm no GM. Just concerned about Hutton's spotty play, is all.

Hopefully the kid can put it together and make that pairing better. Can't rely all on Gudbranson.

Willie will sort it out.  He knows what he is doing.
