doodle sack
Trade 1: Tanev and Dorsett for Trouba; seems like trouba is not going to sign which may make Jets desperate to get something done. Jets will get a Good defensemen, right-hand shoot and can help the rushes. Dorsett so he can protect younger players, excellent energy player and can provide some offense with the appropriate line mates. Canucks POV we get a excellent defensemen. Trade 2: Sedins' an Edler to MTL for 1st- 17,3rd- 17, and 2nd(2018 Draft) David Desharnais, Plekanec(MAYBE) and Juulsen or Sergachev. Helps MTL win now, gives them that TOP 4 D-Men and help with scoring. Canucks will obviously eat Half which is 10M send back DD and TP essentially is about 10M and we can expose TP in the expansion draft if the trade works. Sedin's have one more year left which allows MTL to still sign some players for the future. Trade 3: Hansen for Mikel Grandlund/ Evander Kane/ Or Picks and Prospects pick whichever you feel will work. Trade 4: If trade 1 Don't work Sbisa, Tanev, Dorsett to Col for Landeskog. Add/Subtract what seems right to you. I was going to add a trade with DAL but it's been made in another thread check it out if you can because that trades seems fair and it works out perfectly. After everything is said and done we could look like this: Horvat Virt Nich Sutter Kane/Mikel Grandlund Juulsen/Sergachev a couple of first round picks (Hopefully win 1st overall) not to mention our defense prospects are playing well as of late. I think our D and Goalies are just fine. Trouba/Landeskog This will help out the team with the "rebuild". If this happens we may be bad for the remainder of the 2016-17 season and suck in 2017-18 but after that I see this team turning it around to and playing significant hockey. PS: I think we will be in a lot of games due to Jarvis's defensive structure.
SabreFan1
Courtesy of @elvis15in a similar trade thread just recently started. 2 hours ago, elvis15 said: Winnipeg is already overcrowded with RHD (Trouba is asking out because he was forced to play left side) so why would they want Tanev back in exchange? mll
The Jets want a left hand shot. That's why Trouba wants out - he is RD but they are having him play LD. Montreal is built on speed... their system is basically dump & chase. Not exactly the Sedins.

Not ripping the offer by any means, but this is the 2nd time I've seen Granlund mentioned in a proposal. Just wondering what the appeal is to adding another middle 6 forward that lights the lame with a career high of 13 goals? I realize he's a good player, but we need goals. cripplereh
doubt any of these work out but to me would rather try a new coach before trading players as other teams know we need help so not worth trying trades yet

It appears Willy is floundering and can't find the combinations. I mean I like the guy but this is your job to get the troops going. You can't do that time to go and try something new.
