(Discussion) Why not Subban?

I know there is a lot of negative questions to be asked about Canucks organization. One I don't understand is why Jordan Subban hasn't been given opportunity to play at this level yet?  He has 11 points in 9 games with the comets so far good for 1st among defensemen. He's a very passionate player who's done nothing wrong or undeserving of an opportunity to play with the big club. And its not like he will be in a winning environment with either team. What is everyone else's thoughts on this?

He will get his time one day. Just not this season and probably not next.

I don't know. If we continue on this slide, we're eventually gonna run out of options. And I don't just mean personnel-wise, I mean fan-wise.
He has a style of play, and let's face it, also the name, to attract some sort of excitement to the team when there isn't a lot for the average fan to cling onto right now.
Will it be better for his development continuing to play big minutes in Utica? For sure. But putting the interest of a player's development first hasn't exactly been the team's MO this season.
I say he gets a sniff later this season.

11 points in 9 games for Subban. Very good for a D. There is quite a logjam on D, and I'm not sure he'll get his chance for some time.

RDs ahead of him: Tanev, Gudbranson, Larsen, Stecher, Biega

But why not let him play forward? Canucks got a bit lucky with Hutton and Stecher, and then drafted Juolevi. Canucks could use scoring up front.

He deserves a chance! Waive Larsen and let Subban run the pp for 20 games. Nothing to lose. He might thrive...

Can't play defense.

Better to be playing in the AHL major minutes to improve that.

11 points in 9 games... who cares, we need points lol

But yea I agree, he could use more time with Green to develop his game. Any more injuries to the back end though, you gotta call him up next.
