Carry on being obscure because you are just in panic mode.

He isn't in panic mode. Anyone who looks around the league can see what this team needs and the walls coming down is exactly what we all want to see. The benefits are  A. Shut people like you up. And B. So we can finally Unload whatever we can and start planing for 5 years from now.

Everything you said was nothing more than self soothing rhetoric. It's garbage. I base my opinion on results, not hope, so you can hope your face off all you want but do not talk to me like I'm an idiot because I'm not part of your sheep heard.

PS the last video game thing I owned was a PlayStation 1 but nice try.

And there we have it.

You can't live in the real world. You have some sort of self entitlement complex and manifest it in a kind of fantasy rebuild were we magically find 5 top 3 stud draftees under your pillow (no doubt the tooth fairy is branching out) and we suddenly rebuild and win the SC in the same year.

You're right about one thing, you are not a sheep, you are a "one off" but not in a good way, which is a bit sad because most of the rest of us who populate the real world are in for the long haul while you are crewing the life boat somewhere in a parallel universe.

Are you actually paying attention at all?  Our younger guys have been playing, we have other ones in Boeser,Demko, and Olli showing up next year. Rodin should be back hopefully soon to help out now THEN next season we have a large chunk of salary cap to go after more talent.

Are you just as stupid as the sport writers in this town? And you put Vancouver canucks fans...  Your really speaking for everyone?  that's ermmmmm... nevermind....

I'd argue this is more of a retool.

Had Benning had more leeway in rebuilding the team, I'm sure we would've had an AHL team with more youngsters. Giving away 2nd rounders like candy on halloween and trading younger guys for guys just a bit older has made it so we now have the shallowest NHL AND AHL teams in the league.

Also, Juolevi and Demko are probably more than one year away from showing up with the main team. Boeser also would ideally start in the AHL first... would be a shame if we ruined the development of our only blue chip winger.

What? What? What?

i don't have the patience?

I would have no problem doing a strip down and wait 8 years to be competitive. You are completely against that, who is lacking patience?

We are a joke. If we go out and invest in winning now we better win now. Because if we aren't manufacturing picks and assets and we aren't winning we are doing absolutely nothing. Don't expect Oli Juolevi and who ever we get in this historically weak draft to turn this around either.

See this is what I mean - do I have to list all the other young prospects we have, most of whom are either cutting it here in Vancouver or setting up records with their Junior teams? You ignore them all and tell us we only have Juolevi.

There is no point in debating with such a doom laden poster. I'll leave you to your misery.

What we are doing right now is detrimental to now and in the future. Get over yourself. I'm not a one off, the voice calling for a rebuild is getting louder and louder, it's inevitable.

You were probably one of the guys who had Cassels penciled in as the 3rd line centre after he came out of Jr. Don't ever underestimate how long and hard the path to the NHL is. I love Bennings picks. Every god damn one of them but I'm not about to say "mission accomplished" and start preparing for a parade. An overager dominating the Q is nothing to celebrate. I'm not miserable at all. I love every minute of this.

I wasn't going to reply to you any more but I had to say no I didn't say anything at all like that about Cassels but I certainly have not written him off.

It's because they are not programmed to accept logical arguments so they look for any minor point in a post they can concentrate on - thus avoiding overheating their brain cell and avoiding a parietal and the frontal lobe "rebuild.:P

+1 for making me laugh

We need to stockpile some picks, which means more than the standard 7. Leafs and Coyotes both increased their top 3 round picks in the past 2 stacked draft years. We missed the boat during some stacked drafts, which probably cost us another few years. Turns out Desi was right all along loool

Go check how the Leafs got their picks and come back and tell us how you got on. We did not have a Marlies team in Utica and that is why we lost picks - it was as simple as that.

In 2015 Arizona traded Vermette for a 30th and then traded a 60th to Calgary for a 76th and 83 (you can imagine the stick JB would take on here for doing that. In 2016 they only had 5 draft picks

Another thing that really gets me going is how people can smugly point their noises in the air and talk down to anyone who questions this amazing f)$& show unraveling before our eyes. Not only that they'll say something like

Pfffffffft we ARE rebuilding.

You'll find that the anti tankers are some of the rudest and most condescending posters here. They're like trump cause they like to shout and call people names. They even blame the media because the media won't lie to them and say everything with the Canucks is sunshine and rainbows. They can't handle a critical media that dare criticizes their perfect Canucks.

Both Linden and Benning are making it clear that the future is more important than now. The only thing that will not happen is a wholesale sell off. They want to compete as soon as possible and will keep as many vets around as they can.

The only thing that WILL  happen is a wholesale sell off after  2 more years of finishing 25-30th.  . They want to compete now as  MUCH  as possible and will keep as many vets around as they can so they can still try to sell expensive tickets for a very mediocre product...  Good luck with that strategy..

The rebuilt will start when Hank and Danny retire in 2 years and the canucks can finally hit rock bottom  .....

Lesson to be learned.  Management should not try to prop up a dead horse  / put lipstick on a pig.   We need to get ownership and management on the same page so we can start to build another stanley cup contending team.
