Do we already have our future #1C?

I know a lot of you are hoping we can draft Nolan Patrick this year. He will be a number one or two centre. I'm wondering if we already have our future #1C in the system:

Candidates:

Bo horvat.                nhl:5g 4a 16gp

Adam gaudette.     NCAA:6g 7a 13gp

Dmitry zhukenov.   QMJHL:6g 10a 15gp

Reasons for horvat:

-under a good COACH he'd be a very dynamic scorer

- better linemates he'd also do great

-big body and has great hands

Reasons for gaudette:

- putting up boeser like numbers in the NCAA

- fast dynamic centre plays a two way game

Reasons for Zhukenov:

-many scouts compare his skill to datsyuk

- very fast and skilled

-seems to be a point per game player or better

So what do you think? I know this is a crap post but I'm interested to see who you guys think will be our next number 1 center.

It depends on what you expect out of a first liner, and the way you're trying to build your team. I'm going to disqualify Zhukenov and Gaudette, because right now that's just foolish.

Do you consider Ryan O'Reilly a first line centre? That's probably as close a compareable there is to Bo.

Bo has so much passion for the game and has a fabulous ability to improve every aspect.  It is too hard to tell where he will end up when he peaks.  Certainly a top notch 2nd line C, but if he can improve his play-making skills he might top out as a #1.

Can't think of any player on the team that has the kind of power in his game.  He's quite a remarkable package.

I think Bo could be the guy if WD lets him play more 2C and gets Baer Bo Jake back together for a year they could be,but I think Jake needs more time in Utica, next year have

Baer Bo Boeser on the second, yar after 1st liners and twins trade/2nd line whatever works

No. Bo will be a great 2C, but I fail to believe that any of these guys are going to be 1C's in the NHL. If they are then great, I'm glad. I think that a 1C is something the Canucks will have to draft, I don't believe that Nolan Patrick is going to be a top notch centre in the NHL, so that's not a solution.

I think Bo could be a #1 but not a true #1, hopefully this organization gets one soon to replace the Sedins. Maybe thats this draft year with Nolan Patrick but even he's no guarantee. Might even be a UFA like Tavares in a couple years who knows. but if Canucks got Nolan this year

Nolan

Bo

Sutter

Granlund

Gaunce

Gaudette

Zhukenov

Thats not a bad setup for the future

Funny, been thinkin about Johnny-T, as well.

Interesting that his deal ends, just as the twins' does.

I, not only, think he can be, I think he's going to be.

He's got all the tools and, now, has to fine tune them. This years been tough so far, but I'm liking his play. He's really working hard to be the 200 foot player he was advertised as. He just needs to put it all together now. I believe the addition of Boeser, in the near future, will put him over the top. Yes, I do believe they will be line mates. With Boeser, a great all round offensive player, Horvat can hit the 70+ point plateau.
