HockeyExpert
With this team struggling for goals Benning was on record recently saying that teams are calling him about prospects, including Juolevi and Stecher but Benning rejected the offers. While along with others I would love to have more young defencemen on our roaster, this team needs scoring more than anything. Maybe now is the time to get maximum value for Stecher as so many people around the league are noticing his play. We can get a lot for him, and I think it could be a great move considering we got him pretty much free. Thoughts are welcomed!

Erik Karlsson
He's one of the only d-men we have who can provide offense and actually get their shot through. If we should trade any d-man we should trade Edler or Tanev... Stecher's going to be putting up 45+ points in his prime imo, kid is special. RetroCanuck
No... We are a rebuilding team. We need younger promising players. Trade edler, Tanev, Sbisa, Biega, Larsen before stetcher
Philthy
Every team recently just had the option to sign Strecther, the rebuild starts from the back end. Dmen prospects are much harder to find then top 6 scoring forwards. We also have Rodin injured who may or may not help.. With Tate Olson and Brisebois looking like they have high ceilings and the company at the pro ranks make Tanev and Edler expendable, No thanks

Junkyard Dog
Don't trade young promising D. Trade Edler(more unlikely) or Tanev who'd net you a solid return.

EmilyM
I knew you were gonna be in for a world of hurt upon seeing this thread title. Will try to respond as civil as possible We do not have many valuable assets, so I can understand what you're getting at. But, Stecher, with only 7 games under his belt, is not going to fetch you a superstar top-6 forward. What his value would be to the other 29 GMs around the league is a crapshoot. A gamble. GMs don't pony up their top assets for those. What Stecher's potential could be is much more valuable to us than what he could net us in a trade right now. It's difficult because you never want to trade off promising players, but at the same time you need to give up assets to gain assets. I get that. But trading Stecher right now is not the right move. Guest
It's difficult enough to convince free agents to sign here, without trading them after 5mins. Trade every other Nucks D before Stecher. Even Hutton.
