Stecher Value Huge: Trade Option?

You know, I sign off last night...everything is fine.

I get home from work today and THIS is what I find? Less than 5 hours after scoring his first NHL goal, a game tying goal no less, someone wants to put Stetcher on the block because his trade value is so high?

C'mon, man. Let's at least figure out what we've got before we throw him back.

So who's going to pay what for a prospect dman who's not even played 20 games in the NHL yet? I'd be curious to hear what he'd net us in return. You know, just so we'd know what we'd get back for giving up one of the young players we have who has some talent and skill and ceiling. Dmen take time to develop, this kid is going to have his slumps and hard times. Give him time to develop and grow. The Canucks scoring isn't going to be fixed by one 20 goal scorer or young player or prospect. Hold the line and let our young tenders and Dmen grow develop and then watch them come along as our young forwards like Horvat, Boeser come into their own and start playing well. With the ceiling Stecher has you don't just give it up for something unproven. One in the hand is worth two in the bush.

I've been there, my friend. Once misspelled, & asked all concerned, what elements(& sundry) do we need for our rooster? Just a simple little error, yet plummeted to the depths of the pecking order!

SEVEN years I lurked in the weeds, afraid to make a comment! After counselling..I was ready again. You've gotta believe, but it takes support..friends, family..farm animals.Lots of love.

You CAN do it! Don't look back.

Pun intended? :)

I DID speculate upon our 'rooster'(typo) byGAWD! & someone promptly quoted me, with a googled pic of a proud, fightin' bantam.

It's been a long, arduous struggle, back to where I currently stand.& I'd like to delve into this deeper..but, let's just say the semi-autobiographical, self-help tome should be on your bookshelves in time for the Holiday Season...

Stecher is not untouchable, not by any means.

But the return would have to make sense.

I'd consider a trade if it was something like Stecher for Vesey/Aho/Buchnevich, etc.

But it'd have to be a trade that'd make sense, such as a young rook forward with potential for a young rook defence man with potential.

I logged in just to down vote this stupidity.

You can't really teach what this kid brings. His vision and decision making are first class. He's a first year rookie with less than 10 games and he's already one of the top 2 or 3 dmen on the team and he learns from his mistakes. Can't wait to see what he does with more experience.

He's also the only Canuck's dman who can reliably get a puck on the net. It's too bad our forwards are so frigging weak and scared of the slot that they can't hammer in rebounds.

Stecher once fully developed could make a good second PP QB to Juolevi once he comes in.

Stetcher may be more offensive minded than Juoveli. Juoveli is more of an all around defensman that thinks the game at a really high level. At least that's the impression I've got. It's tough to say though since he's only 18.
