Hortankin
Now I may take a lot of heat for this but here we go... Subban be promoted to the big club. Yes you read that right. However there's a twist. He won't be playing defence, he will be the Sedins linemate. His aggressiveness and great shot would really help him transition to a forward. With the emergence of Stecher I don't see Subban playing on our backend in the future. So it's forward or trade bait. Sedin Sedin Subban Eriksson Horvat Sutter Baertschi Granlund Hansen Skille Gaunce Burrows What do you guys think? Subban has elite offensive player just playing the wrong position. I think it could really ignite our scoring and our PP
Mathew Barzal
The most defensively liable forward unit in the league.
ItsMillerTime
I doubt he has ever played a high level at forward and him never playing in the NHL and 1st line minutes as a forward would be stupid.
SaintPatrick33
Kid has elite offensive skills. Why not put him on the wing? our wingers are probably one of the worst scoring/speed units in the league and it shows in our goal totals. This move however, is too out of the box for this org

Junkyard Dog
If you're going to switch him from defense to forward then let him do so in the AHL. Calling him up to play forward on the 1st line is senseless.

Try it for a game or 2 and see where it goes. What's to lose? We sure ain't winning the cup this year, let's experiment a bit!

Ojibwa72
Agree to let him move to wing but as the consensus is stating try him in the A first. I do think its the only way he's going to break into the NHL and I do think he has the skills to do it.

ABNuck
Whoever coined the phrase "desperate times call for desperate measures" was obviously not all that bright or creative...just desperate. I'm of the opinion that an NHL ready winger would be more useful than an AHL defenceman convert who is yet to play an NHL game...but, hey maybe that's just me. So I'm gonna go with trade bait...Anders Lee anyone? I think NYI could use a bit of a shakeup too.

TheGuardian_
Too much outside the box thinking for Benning's group. Heck, he isn't even seeing the empty seats, he thinks the fans are all singing koombaya and voting for him in the next election or something. He just said that help in scoring will/might come from trading a dman, no doubt a NHL dman for an AHL forward, since he hasn't traded one AHL player for a NHL player. And don't say Sven, he is marginal, Chabot came up and is more effective. Yes Subban should be groomed for a forward position, center would be best as centers and dmen are all over the ice, whereas wingers usually don't cross over very often. J.I.A.H.N
They would ever play in the same zone at the same time! The Sedin's would get lapped!
