Time Alex Grenier gets a shot

If Dorsett is out, I think its time Alex Grenier got a chance to prove himself.

He is having a decent season so far in Utica, on a team which is not very good.  11 points in 13 games, -1.

He brings a big body, and some skill level with puck, especially his shot.

Right now the 4th line has almost no offensive potential, with the exception of Chaput.  Perhaps Grenier can give them a chance to score.

He's now 25, mature enough to know this will probably be one of his last chances, and skilled enough to take advantage.

He will get called up and sent down after practice.

Labate has fewer points, worse Plus/Minus and terrible shooting percentage.

Grenier is nearly a point a game.  He is 6' 5", close to 210 lbs.

Just cuz he's big doesn't mean he'll use his frame to his advantage. Grenier is just like Steve Bernier or David Booth. Guys with good size but are too soft to grind out for garbage/greasy goals and don't play as physical as their size demands them to

If he's just like Bernier or Booth we should call him up in a heartbeat... I'd take either of those guys on our 4th line right now.

No thanks. Bernier and Booth are both washed up and a shell of their former self. I'd take Skille over those two any day of the year.

No. We have much better prospects to test out. Grenier is going to be a career AHL'er/fringe NHL'er. He doesn't have the tools to make the bigger club. He's had his chances, time to give someone else a shot.

I wouldn't exactly say we have much better prospects to try out. Outside of Virtanen, who should spend some time in Utica right now, we don't really have anyone who is projected to be more than a fringe NHLer in the minors. It is pretty, pretty thin down there :(

Buzzsaw, i thought you only post after losses.

You must be joking, this guy played with the Twins and was invisible as a white trash father.

Give me a break bud, do you even watch hockey? Labate, Chaput Zalewski etc etc deserve better than this scrub of an AHL player.

No hitting, no fights, no goals, only a soft marshmallow enjoying his AHL time. Reminds me of Bernier and Matthias.

For your information, Kass had great stats while playing with the twins, compared to Grenier this makes no sense at all.

Career AHLer, try again Buzzsaw.

If I wanted to see a ghost play on the team, I have Bear and Loui to watch right now.

Thank you come again.
