86Viking
Bruce Garrioch ✔@SunGarrioch Andrew Hammond cleared waivers and Matt Puempel has been placed on waivers. #Sens Peumpel a Former 1st round pick, good AHL stats hasnt put it together in the NHL, 0pts in 13gp this year
Jaku
4 Goals, 2 assists in 52 games, averaging 9:49 in ice time. Not the greatest start to a career.

oldnews
Tempting. Will be surprised if he clears, but so many have... Hasn't translated yet at the NHL level, but skates well, can shoot the puck, good possession player - and LW. Claiming him might light a fire under Baertschi.... On the other hand, our depth callups have played well - hard to argue with the promote from within approach thus far.
86Viking
Be shocked to see him get claimed based on his poor nhl campaign so far. But an injury plagued team with poor AHL depth may take a chance I suppose. But I would have thought Lander would have been claimed if that were the case. Tempting indeed. You don't see someone with his skillset very often on waivers too. His frame and age (23) makes it that much juicer. I mean common, how can you pass up a guy with that name? Nicknames for dayz.

RakuRaku
Doesn't matter if he's got size, skill and grit.... JB will remain consistent with his policy - screw you all CDCers! He's happy with the additions of Skille, Chaput, Megna...

Tank for waiver position!!! I agree though - who knows what he becomes, but it would take the sting out of losing Etem - and he's the type of depth that might fit well. A bit surprised they do this while Hoffman, Ryan are injured (and Macarthur) though. They must be pretty disappointed with him?

Much like Jensen. Although Jensen's problem seemed to be much deeper than that. Really don't know what's wrong with Puempel but hey, a free prospect is a free prospect. I mean surely he'd beat the likes of Skille, Megna, and Chaput? I would've slot him in with Baertschi and Horvat and see what he brings to the table right off the bat but Burrows is playing too darn good. I'm actually quite surprised we've never tried Burrows with Baertschi and Horvat until recently.
aGENT
Puempel is the first waiver guy I'd actually be a bit upset/surprised if JB doesn't claim him. Has a lot of promise IMO.
DeNiro
We got Megna and Chaput, why would we wanna take a chance on a young former 1st round pick with promise?

Lets do a "catch, test, and release" if needed!
GB5
He must have some upside bet he really doesn't look very different from others players of similar vintage that were available on waivers already this year, that is Etem and Nick Jensen. Canucks passed on both and all three of these players appear to have about the same body of work. If ever a time to claim a guy, it would be now with all of the forward injuries and Utica desperately needing some of their better players back but I'm not holding my breath. Losing With Pride
Take everyone. Trade them back to the original team for a 5th round pick. Rinse and repeat. NHL 17 style.
Beary Sweet
I would claim him and anyone else who has untapped potential at this point. Frustrating that we are suppose to win a game then blow it all in 20 minutes. Ridiculous
Apple Juice
Contract expires this year. Why not take a flyer on him for a team struggling to score goals? Puempel could be a good depth addition for offence.
